Cleansers - La Roche-Posay - Toleriane Purifying Foaming Cream Cleanser

Nothing wrong with this dermatologist-approved, gentle cleanser. Got a free sample tube at my derm's office. No scent - perhaps a slight bit medicinal/chemical - and low foaming. Removes most makeup and is an effective daily cleanser (I have dry skin) that does not seem too drying.

Lotions/ Creams - CeraVe - Itch Relief Moisturizing Lotion

I got a free sample from my dermatologist. No scent to speak of - possibly a tad medicinal? Medium weight lotion, soothing, non-irritating. I did not need itch-relief but I suppose it will work for this purpose. Used it as "regular" lotion for my legs and arms. No issues.

Hair - Redken - Curvaceous Curl Dive Mask

4.0

Yesterday

Curl Dive is halfway between a conditioner and a mask. It is richer than most conditioners and a bit light for a true mask. I like the smell (a bit of sandalwood?) but some do not. It is not cheap - about $30 for the 6 oz. pot/jar. It is marketed for thirsty curls - but I use it on the ends of my fine, straight hair as a twice-weekly deep conditioning mask. A good product - and I like Redken …Read more

Treatments - Trind - Cuticle Balsam

I am a Trind fan so after trying the Nail Balsam (great), Nail Repair (effective) and Optical Nail Brightener (truly stellar), I punked down $18 plus shipping for the Cuticle Balsam. It contains alcohol which I found counterintuitive - but also Vitamin A & E. So far, it works really well. If you have not heard of Trind - their products are amazing. Try it!

Polishes - OPI - Nail Lacquer - Another Ramen-tic Evening

Used this for a late summer pedi and it shows off well if you have a tan (I have super pale skin so my idea of a tan is not very tan). It is a creme (pink with a cool tone) - not quite baby pink and softer than a Barbie pink. Not easy to apply but I had apro do it, so it looks amazing. Would not buy the bottle but for a one-shot pedi it was great.

Treatments - Unlisted Brand - Trind Natural Nail Repair

Trind is pricey and loaded with (effective) chemicals, but man, this stuff works. I use the 3 step system with Nail Balsam, Nail Repair and then Trind's brightener over top. Some of the best nail products out there - but I am fairly certain there is formaldehyde in some of them.

Lipstick - Pop Beauty - Permanent Pout Matte Lip Paint by Victor Ramos - Basic B

Retails for $8 (.16 fl. oz. tube) if you can even find it as it is sold out on POP' website. Named by lifestyle guru (and LGBTQ Youtuber Victor Ramos - VicMRam) this long-wearing full-coverage matte is a brown/beige mid-tone and is a very safe color choice that flatters many skin tones. I quite like it but it does feel a bit drying as mattes do on me. Got this for free as a giveaway from …Read more

Eye Shadow - Mary Kay - Mineral Eye Color - Granite

Very wearable mid-toned grey that is not too dark and not too pale. Medium pigment lasts 4-6 hours on my lids. If you have oily skin it may not wear as well. Some fall out but not insane. $8 retail and cheaper on ebay. I am using the circa 2018/2019 Chroma-Fusion formula. MK repackages or re-formulates their stuff all. the. time. Which is annoying. Also, you just get a square pan - …Read more

Misc Beauty Tools - Mary Kay - Skinvigorate

The Skinvigorate brush has been re-vamped and instead os a rotating brush head now using Ultrasonic - kinda like a Claisonic knock off. For $75 you get a USB-chargeable (no batteries and no cord!) unit and a brush head. Replacement brush heads are 2 for $20 or a massager attachment (for neck and face) is $25.

I used Clarisonic (Mia - the cheaper one) years back and theMK version is …
