Wow! A couple days ago I made my first experiment with hair dye, because I was beginning to notice more and more white hairs cropping up. I used Herbatint hair dye, and not only did it give me an unappealing, unnatural reddish brown colour (when the colour I chose was labelled "ash"), it also made my hair feel like STRAW! I decided to put on Lush henna hoping that it would make my hair …Read more

This stuff actually makes my skin look prettier than it actually is- it looks natural, it wears well. I am very surprised this does not have a higher general rating. My only gripe is the rather strong scent, but I can live with that, and it fades after a while. Very pleased.

Update: This caused a major rash on my face- it felt like my skin had been burnt, and was red and blotchy and …

I bought this because of all the positive reviews, but I was very disappointed. Firstly, it made my face burn, and gave me red blotchy bumps, obviously some kind of allergic reaction, which would not be an issue for everyone. But apart from that, I just found it so-so. It did not cover that well, or make my skin texture look that much better than usual, and it faded after a couple of hours (and I …Read more

I love all the products in this range, and have used them for years. They have seen me through many a skin disaster. I can always trust physiogel to be non-irritating and deeply soothing and hydrating. A while ago, all the chemists in my area said they were having trouble obtaining this from their suppliers, and I bought every bottle and tube I could find to see me through the drought- I …Read more

This stuff is really awful! I have fine hair that gets greasy quickly. Normally I have to wash my hair every day. At first I was faintly pleased to see that with this shampoo I could get away with washing every second or even third day, but as I worked my way through the bottle, my scalp became so dry, tight and uncomfortable that I started to dread the next wash, because even though my hair was …Read more

I have extremely sensitive skin, so I was very hesitant to use this on my face. I thought I was bound to be allergic to the lauric acid- not so. As it turn out, I find this very soothing, and it seems to calm irritation and normalise the weird redness and itchiness my skin seems to randomly throw out sometimes. It is very drying, but in some cases that can be made to work- I have a few sunblocks …Read more

This contains orange essential oil, a known photo-sensitizer. This has wreaked havoc with my pigmentation and freckles! It may be a lovely natural looking foundation, but if you have pigmentation of any kind, I'd give this a wide berth.

I was having a panic attack on the way home from buying this because the price is (for me) through the roof, but I am so glad I did! It does so much more for my skin than any of the other (numerous) foundations I have tried. I have very rough scarred skin on my cheek bones, and I struggle to find a foundation that does not sit on my skin and just emphasise my flaws. this blends into the skin AND …Read more

My skin was SEVERELY damaged by a laser treatment. Since then, not only does it look bad (pigmentation, roughness, veins),but it is also so sensitive that most things I try make it burn and itch, especially sunblocks.I have been trying to use physical blockers, like titanium and zinc, but they only make my skin look even more wierd. Enter Mac Prep and Prime. This product does not cause any …Read more

I don't understand why this product is so highly regarded as a sunblock, because although it has a good dose of zinc oxide, it is also crammed with every kind of citrus oil known to man. Just google citrus oils- they are known to induce sun-sensitivity. I really, really wanted to like this. I was prepared to overlook the oiliness and the white caste. But I realised that I was burning with …Read more
