Conditioner - Neutrogena - Triple Moisture daily deep conditioner

Eh. OK, so here's the thing. First of all, the star ingredients on this thing are probably in very minute quantities - check out the ingredient right before the olive oil: panthenol. Panthenol is generally used in pretty small quantities (under 1%). So these three are even less than that. Secondly, they completely made that stuff up about olive oil moisturizing down to the cortex of the …Read more

Eyeliner - L'Oreal Paris - HiP Kohl Eyeliner in Brown Kohl 803

This is one of only two brands of loose kohl eyeliners commercially available in the US, to my knowledge. The other one is Guerlain, with a fancy bottle and a hefty price tag, and as such I've never tried the other one.

Basically, this is a waterline eyeliner. I don't use it outside my lash line, I can't imagine it working very well - it'd probably just fall out all …

Lips - COVERGIRL - Outlast Lipstain (All)

Huh. I just had a breakthrough with this product. I have had two of these lipstains kicking around my makeup box for AGES, but I've pretty much hated them since I got them. They don't go on evenly, it's hard to control placement of it (like, you can draw the outline of your lips, but it's impossible to predict or control how much product comes on at once, so you can end up …Read more

Lipstick - REVLON - Renewist Lip Color [DISCONTINUED]

I love this lipstick! I usually have to apply chapstick or something before applying any kind of lip color, but this is pretty much a two-in-one, so that step is unnecessary unless I've already got chapped, flaking lips. I own three shades - Mauvellous, Full Blush, and Naturally Revealing.

The Mauvellous is the first one I bought, and I actually reviewed it separately if you look …

Sunscreen - CLARINS - (New Formula) UV Plus Day Screen SPF 40 High Protection with E3P

*sigh*

Did the first sunscreen I've tried that doesn't irritate my tazorac-sensitized skin have to be so expensive??

At $42 an ounce, I have to say I would buy this again, but only if I were a lot more financially set. Maybe not rich, but certainly not the broke college student I am now.

I'm pretty certain now that it is the chemical sunscreens …

Lipstick - L'Oreal Paris - Colour Riche Star Secrets Nude in Taffeta

I hate the lighting in drugstores - I have such a hard time seeing the shimmer sometimes! I thought this was a shimmer-free nude, but there's shimmer in it. Oh well, that wouldn't have been so bad if it had looked good. This was supposed to be Scarlett Johanson's nude? She's at least as pale as I am, if not more, but this stuff looks much darker than nude on me …Read more

Lipstick - L'Oreal Paris - Colour Riche Lipstick

I've decided I just won't use L'Oreal lipsticks. I've tried this one and the endless one, and apparently they add the same scent to both of them, so I'm guessing they do that with all of their lipsticks. I hate the smell of these things. It's nauseating to me. I guess it must be to cover some other scent up, but honestly, I prefer the crayon-like rancid oil smell …Read more

Hair Removal - Skintimate - Moisturizing Cream Shave - Extra Gentle

Apr/15/2009

FINALLY! It's about time there's a drugstore version of a cream shave (which is entirely different from a shaving cream). I used to use Bath & Body Works' True Blue Spa "Shave the Day" cream shave, but at $12 a pop, it was getting pretty expensive, so I've been resorting to hair conditioner, which is OK, but not quite as good. I like this stuff even better than …Read more

Hair - Unlisted Brand - Coconut Oil

Can't live without the stuff. I only use it on my hair, really, as I don't find my skin needing oil. My hair just soaks it right up, I put it on my wet hair after every washing, and you really can't tell I have anything on my hair at all when it's dry, but it has really improved the condition of my hair. If I skip it, my ends get dry and tangle easily, this prevents that …Read more

Yuck. Yuck, yuck. I don't like it. It didn't help me at all with shaving. Like the other reviewer said, it gummed up my razor, too. It did not provide any slip at all, as far as I could tell, and as soon as you drag your razor over one area, the stuff is gone, so if your razor missed a few hairs, you have to reapply some more before shaving over it again. It didn't rinse easily at …Read more
