Treatments (Eye) - CLINIQUE - Pep-Start Eye Cream

This is a fine eye cream. It's not too heavy, smells nice, and provides a decent amount of moisture for the whole day. If you have oily skin, but find that concealer looks cakey under the eye, try this (or a similar eye cream). It solved my concealer issues.

My sole issue with this product is the packaging. For the last two weeks, I have had to scoop out product with a q-tip. The …

Sunscreen - La Roche-Posay - Anthelios Xl SPF 50+ Fluide Extreme (for face)

I bought this hoping it would solve my daily sun protection problems. There is so much hyper surrounding this product, and I cannot understand why. I have medium-deep skin, and this turns me into the ashiest mess possible. No amount of shaking this product will get rid of the gritty texture. Don't even get me started on trying to apply foundation on top of this.

TLDR: whitecast …

Foundations - wet n wild - Photo Focus Foundation

I think this foundation is great for the price. It is medium-to-full coverage, looks great in flash photography, and leaves me with a dewy and fresh looking finish. I find that this look better when applied with a sponge as opposed to a brush. It usually takes me about two "spatulas" worth of product for a full face, but I have visible acne scarring.

My biggest issues with …

Holy Grail hair remover. I cannot believe it took me so long to find this stuff.

I have thick, coarse, curly hair that barely bats a lash at Nair extra strength. I have tried what seems like every type of hair remover on the market, but most either leave me with mild chemical burns or leave me with all the hair I wanted to remove in the first place. This removes all my hair …

Primer/ Corrector - PUR Cosmetics - Color Correcting Primer - Prep & Perfect - Neutral

Bottom line: there are similar, if not better primers, at a lower price point.

I will say that this primer goes a long way and it lasts forever. Just a small dab will cover the entire face. It has that silicone-y feel that many primers have, but unlike many other primers this one is safe for sensitive skin. I does not clog my pores and helps extend the longevity of …

Cleansers - MUJI - Mild Cleansing Oil

I bought the trial/travel size in store after reading Caroline Hiron's blog review of the skincare line. I use this as a second cleanse in the evening after taking off any makeup with micellar water. This has no scent, is thick enough to massage into skin, and emolliates with water.

As someone with sensitive and acne-prone skin, I appreciate a no-nonsense cleansing oil. This …

Eye Shadow - e.l.f. Cosmetics - Flawless Eyeshadow Matte for Plum #21630

These eyeshadows are not worth your $3. They are patchy, chalky, and do NOT blend well. I have tried these shadows with and without an eyelid primer and the results are just the same.

After application, which requires a lot of effort, they last for an hour or two before they fade and/or disappear completely.

I love a lot of elf products, including their Mad for Matte …

Bottom line: this helps with hair growth, but breaks me out badly.

I have extremely sensitive skin, so I have to be extremely careful with any new product. This does not irritate my skin, but does clog my pores if that makes sense. It took a few days to notice this was causing issues because of it.

I used this after cleansing and before my serums/moisturizers only at night …

I got this as part of my Ipsy bag and I must say I am pleasantly surprised. This oil can be used on face, body, and hair. It's truly the best multi-tasking oil I have ever used.

I mostly use this as a serum after cleansing and before moisturizer on my face and neck. It definitely smells like an oil, but it's not overwhelming (like olive oil). It sinks into skin beautifully …

Skincare - Face - No Brand (DIY or homemade) - Rosehip Seed Oil

Jan/20/2017

Rosehip oil was, for me, a good no-nonsense moisturizer. I used it both morning and night after cleansing and serums. I find that it works best on skin that is damp. I used about a nickel size amount all over my face, neck, and chest. With the remnants, I would use on dry elbows, lips, ears or anywhere else that needed a bit of moisture.

The average rating is because while this …
