Masks - Aztec Secret - Indian Healing Clay

This is seriously the cheapest and most effective mask I have ever used! Deep cleaning, pore purging, it helps clear out existing acne including blackheads. My skin can be left a bit red afterwards so I only do this mask in the evening, once a week max. For those who broke out afterwards, this mask purges your pores, so don't be discouraged after trying it once!

I mix two parts …

Masks - Unlisted Brand - Beauty Treats - Collagen Facial Mask

This review is actually for the Beauty Treats Vitamin E Skin Brightening sheet mask as I wasn't able to add a new product for my review. I don't usually buy skincare products from "dollar stores" like Daiso, but was surprised by the impressive ingredient list. This sheet mask is a bit different as it has two "hooks" for the ears and a neck wrap. I found these a bit …Read more

Polishes - Orly - Powder Puff

1.0

Mar/23/2016

This was my first and last Orly polish. It is a sheer white with pale pink tones, made in the USA. The formula is too thin and applies unevenly, pools on the nail and looks very streaky. Even after a base and three coats it doesn't provide an even look - so unfortunate! I'll be going back to my old favourites OPI and Butter London.

Masks - Andalou Naturals - Pumpkin Honey Glycolic Mask

4.0

Mar/21/2016

Smells like pumpkin pie and applies as a slighly orange gel, this mask gives me a burning sensation for about a minute after applying and my guess is it's the cinnamon as my skin felt the same when I used a cinnamon yoghurt masque. It left my face a bit red afterwards, so I recommend trying it at the end of the day the first time you give it a go. Overall, I love the brightening and evening …Read more

Shampoo - Joico - K-Pak Color Therapy

4.0

Feb/21/2016

I bought the Joico K-Pak Color Therapy shampoo on a whim as it was only $12 at my local store on sale, which is a deal for 1L! Packaged in an easy pump bottle, it smells nice and has worked well in washing and protecting my hair colour, though I am unsure how moisturising it is. I have not experienced any build-up, which is a plus. I would prefer that it did not contain sulfates, but otherwise am …Read more

Skincare - Body - EcoTools - Bath and Shower Gloves

5.0

Feb/21/2016

I use the Ecotools Bath and Shower Gloves to exfoliate my face and body in the shower and love how smooth it makes my skin! It's not too rough, but is easier to use and exfoliates better than using just a wash cloth. I also like it better than body brushing, though I feel both have their advantages. I use it either with water alone or with soap, then rinse and hang to dry after use. You …Read more

Polishes - Sephora Collection - Nail Polish

This is a review for the Sephora by OPI nail polish. I recently picked up the XOX Betsey colour for $4 at my local Marshall's. The quality is just as good as a regular OPI polish, colour is opaque and applies well, bottle and brush are a good size. As a fan of OPI polishes, I would definitely purchase again!

Bath Treatments - No Brand (DIY or homemade) - Dry Brushing

I regularly dry body brush before showering with a natural bristle brush. With long motions, brush towards your heart, starting with your feet and moving upwards. Focus on areas prone to cellulite - I also avoid my neck and hands as the skin is more delicate there. It's a great way to exfoliate, promote circulation, and general well-being!

Cleansers - No Brand (DIY or homemade) - Oil Pulling

4.0

Feb/09/2016

I have been oil pulling for two weeks now. The first time I used extra virgin olive oil, but after switching to coconut oil would be hard pressed to go back to EVOO - it is MUCH more pleasant with coconut! If I have time, I floss and brush beforehand. I take a teaspoon of coconut oil and gently swish it around in my mouth for 15-20 minutes. If I feel my mouth is getting too full, I will either …Read more

Skincare - Body - Nadinola - Cocoa Butter Cream

The smell is not appealiing to me, and while moisturising, it is not a stand-out product in my book. I think I will stick with oils which often have other great skin benefits in addition to moisturising properties.
