Dry Shampoo - Klorane - Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk - Original and Tinted Formulas

This sprays white; you have to hold your hand far away and move it side to side quickly to help with this. You’re supposed to leave it on for 2 minutes, then brush out. The white blends in after that, but it leaves my brown hair feeling dull and weighed down. Also, don’t expect a nice, fresh scent like the regular oat milk shampoo- this smells like hairspray. It was a waste of $20.

This dry shampoo from Sally’s is from a brand called Blend, which I never heard of before. It comes in this pretty light blue can for a little over $10. I was hesitant to try it because I couldn’t find anything about it online, but took a chance. It’s translucent and light, doesn’t tangle or make my hair matted at the roots. It has a beachy ocean/ sea salt type of a scent. Very strongly scented …Read more

Dry Shampoo - Hask - Charcoal with Citrus Purifying Dry Shampoo

This is one of the first dry shampoos that I tried recently (last time was probably Psssst in the 80s), and it’s probably my favorite. It sprays finely, doesn’t leave a white cast on my brown hair (I don’t hold the can too close to my scalp, though), and it has a nice, fresh citrusy smell. I use it mostly to texturize, so I don’t know how heavy duty it is on oil. This one is in the $8-$10 range …Read more

I remember this dry shampoo from the 80s/90s, when it sat on the bottom shelf at Walgreens, and only people who were bedridden knew about it and would use such a thing.

The dry shampoo market has really exploded, though. I feel like dry shampoo is to present day what hairspray was to the 80s. Although I’m a frequent washer (I think it’s mechanical damage that damages hair- rough towel …

Polishes - Pacifica - 7 Free Nail Color

I have this in Magic Ponch Shell. The square bottle is cute, I do like the packaging. The color in the bottle looks like a bright peach with gold shimmer. It applies more like a neutral peach, no where near as bright as in the bottle, and the shimmer is barely noticeable on the nails. The first coat is streaky, 2nd coat makes it look better, 3 is best, but I don’t think it looks totally opaque …Read more

Holy 80s flashback, this feels and smells just like Aquanet hairspray! It didn’t leave a white cast on my brown hair, but it left it sticky, and I don’t like the Aquanet-like scent. Luckily I got it on sale at Sally’s for $5, but even on sale it was a waste. Yuck :(

Dry Shampoo - PANTENE - Pro V Dry Shampoo

This has a fresh, clean, classic perfume-y “Pantene” scent (not the strawberry infused scent most of the line has now). I hold this 6-8 inches away from my roots and give a few sprays, then “whoosh” around. No white cast on my brown hair, and it refreshes my hair and gives it body, without feeling like there is residue. I paid $5 for this, and really like it! Hard to find, though.

Dry Shampoo - Clairol - Herbal Essences Blue Ginger Refresh Dry Shampoo

I had trouble tracking down this dry shampoo in this Blue Ginger scent, but I ended up getting it shipped to my local Walmart with free pick up. Some Ulta stores also have it. I have the regular shampoo and foam conditioner in this scent and really like them both (unisex/ herbal seaberry scent; the website says it’s ginger, floral bouquet and musk), and wanted this to match.

Although …

Styling Products - Unlisted Brand - Kristin Ess Weightless Shine Working Serum

This is part of the Kristin Ess line being sold at Target. I picked this up, along with the purple conditioner. I believe this was around $14. It’s a lightweight serum, more on the liquid-y side, in a pump bottle. I’ve used it on wet, damp and dry hair, experimenting with various amounts to see how much I could get away with using, and I’ve never had an issue with weighed down or greasy hair with …Read more

Definitely go test this at Sephora before spending $30 on this to see how it works on your hair type. My hair is fine, and on the thinner side (2c texture; i/ii thickeness). Not particularly damaged, but I have a few dry spots occasionally. Today I used some products that dried my hair out, so I thought it’d be a good opportunity to go try this.

It was hard to get a small amount out …
