Eyeliner - Urban Decay - 24/7 Velvet Glide-On Eye Pencil - Black Velvet

Do you like wearing your eyeliner in your eyeball instead of on your lashline? If so, buy this product. If not, stay far, far away. This applied a crumbly, patchy charcoal (not black), and flaked off into my eyes and onto my cheeks throughout the day. The lead also would break off in big pieces every time I tried to sharpen this--Good luck getting a sharp tip with this. I felt like I was using an …Read more

Eyeliner - essence - Gel Eyeliner - Midnight In Paris

2.0

Jan/18/2016

Maybe Essence did change the formula, because the one I got in late 2014 is in no way inky black like some of the reviews say. This is thin on me, like the Physicians Formula trio cream liners. If I use a 'normal' amount of this liner, it's thin, light-black and brush-strokey. If I try to put more product on my brush, it clumps up in my lashes and flakes off in chunks after drying …Read more

Blush - Unlisted Brand - Be a Bombshell The One Stick in Girl Crush

1.0

Jan/06/2016

Like the other Be a Bombshell items I have (and dislike), I got this in an Ipsy bag. It's supposed to be a multi-use product for 'eyelids, cheeks or lips', like NARS The Multiple.

This is a light baby pink--not coral, as the other reviewer stated--with a lot of shimmer. On me, it works as a faint blush that could almost be a highlight, if my skin was darker. It looks …

Eyeliner - Unlisted Brand - Starlet Cosmetics--Intense Eyeliner

Dec/20/2015

I got this in black in an Ipsy bag. There's nothing 'intense' about this, other than it being intensely annoying to use. I've used better $1 ELF eyeliners (the shimmer ones; the regular Essential line ones are on par with this) than this supposed $11 one.

This drags and clumps up in my eyelashes on application, and transfers immediately after (and for a while …

Tinted Moisturizer - Physicians Formula - Healthy Wear SPF 50 Tinted Moisturizer [DISCONTINUED]

5.0

Jul/23/2015

This is a staple product for me on light-to-no-makeup days. It's long-lasting, natural-looking, and provides decent coverage for a tinted moisturiser. The SPF content is high, and I like that it contains both physical and chemical sunscreens. The physical sunscreen ingredients do give it a 'sunscreen-y' smell, but I don't find it too strong.
It does look slightly greasy …

Lip Treatments - Labello - Strawberry Lip Balm

3.0
Created with Sketch.

Jul/23/2015

Picked this up in the Czech Republic. Seems to be the same as the Nivea Kiss of Strawberry Fruity Lip Care.

Pros:
+ Natural-looking colour
+ Balm stick form is convenient
+ Pleasant tangy strawberry scent/flavour

Cons:
- Colour is sheer; requires multiple passes to be visible
- Has some sparkles, not just moist sheen - detracts slightly from natural …

Lipstick - NYX Professional Makeup - round lipstick- twist

2.0

Jul/23/2015

Fugly frosty red-orange shade that, like other NYX Round Lipsticks, slides off easily. Like other NYX Round Lipsticks, it also has that unpleasant soap (or, if you're fond of significant sensory self-deception, 'rose') taste. This shade looks slightly less hideous if I rub off most of the product and its frosty shimmer, but I wouldn't consider that to be much of a selling …Read more

Lipstick - Pop Beauty - Pouty Pop Crayon

I can't speak for the other shades, but the one in Coral Crush that I got in an Ipsy bag is pretty bad. For one, the name 'coral' doesn't really translate here - it's a bright, unflattering, Nicki Minaj-esque pink. It also wears off easily, contrary to its claim of giving 'long-lasting colour'.

Most offensive is the application and wear. It settles …

Polishes - wet n wild - MegaLast Nail Color - Wet Cement

I went out and bought a full-sized bottle of this after getting a mini in a $1 holiday set. I love this shade - a mauve brown taupe cream. I find it to be work-appropriate, but still interesting. The grey tones don't clash with my warm skin tone. Looks less grey and more neutral/purple with one coat, but you will probably need two coats to get an even application. The formula is just okay - …Read more

Lipstick - CLINIQUE - Different Lipstick - Think Bronze

2.0
Created with Sketch.

Jun/04/2015

I was holding onto the remnants of this lipstick that my mother got as GWP, but after several years, it had started to smell/taste weird.

This is not a bronze, but a metallic rose. The colour is slightly too frosty for me. It doesn't last long on lips, nor does it have any moisturising properties. Plus, the plastic green packaging is pretty uninspiring.

There are better …
