Sunscreen - La Roche-Posay - Anthelios SX Daily Moisturizing Cream with Sunscreen spf 15

I hate sunscreen. It's smelly and usually feels awful on. That being said La Roche-Posay Anthelios SX (SPF 15) is the most tolerable. It has the least amount of odor and from what I researched the broadest range of protection without paying achingly high prices on European imports. It is an excellent light duty (non waterproof) sunscreen. I'm Fitzpatrick type V, so the SPF 15 is fine …Read more

Decided to give this a try because it's a cult fave...I'm underwhelmed. I don't think it's a bad product, just not for me. I tried this on in SX13 at New London Pharmacy in Chelsea and had to have it. NW42-45 for ref. Wore it out and later on that evening my boyfriend said that he could see it on my skin in certain lighting (mainly fluorescent) in spite of my very sparing …Read more

Meh! I bought WP03 Dark/Fonce as a nude brightener for my waterline. I don't know if it's my oily lids, but it just doesn't last on my waterline. Set on making the best of a okay purchase I tried to use it as a cupid's bow highlighter. No dice. Too ashy (on me). Too bad it was past the return period. In the unused bin it goes.

Nails - ZOYA - Remove + Nail Polish Remover

Expensive, but I love this stuff! Smells as good as a nail polish remover can smell and removes well without being as harsh as acetone. You may need to put in a little elbow grease for shimmery polishes and Minx-like stickers, but the lack of smell and harsh results makes up for that. As other reviewers have noted the bottle could be improved, but this is the only polish I've found being …Read more

This is a little better than average on my curly lashes and oily lids. It runs a little in the summer, but I'm willing to tolerate it when I can't splurge on my HG Diorshow Blackout. This is the blackest black I've been able to find at the drugstore. The only other negative is that the lettering on the tube wears away, but by then it is close enough to replace by date that it …Read more

Lip Liners - NYX Professional Makeup - Slim Lip Pencil (All Colors)

Economical, easy to sharpen, packaging won't look worn easily rolling around in your makeup bag, readily available in a range of flattering colors, and longwearing-not as long wearing as the MUF aqua liners, but at this price point that's a non issue. I plan on purchasing more. Love the shade Nude Truffle. I currently pair it with Bobbi Brown l/s in Cocoa for a subtly defined MLBB look.

Lipstick - Bobbi Brown - Cocoa lipstick Fall '03

Cocoa is a deep pink brown nude that is my HG MLBB shade. I like to pair this with the matching liner for a polished look or NYX nude truffle for subtle definition. It has a super pigmented creamy satin finish that wears well and is (on me) neither hydrating or drying. For a softer glossy look pair with Chanel Giggle glossimer or Bobbi Brown Rose Sugar or Pink Buff gloss. MAC Touch is similar …Read more

Lip Treatments - MAC Cosmetics - Lip Conditioner (Tube)

MAC, Please please pleaaaase bring back the Tinted lip conditioner in the pots. The recommended replacement has more petroleum and fewer penetrating ingredients to soften lips. Within an hour of application my lips are almost as dry as they were before. Even my glossimers are more moisturizing than the balm in a tube. Will not repurchase.

Hair Treatments - Joico - K-Pak Deep Penetrating Reconstructor

This is my reconstructor of choice. Prefer this to Aphogee for results, ease of use, and smell. I usually use with the Chelating (now clarifying) shampoo and cuticle sealer. I skip the Hydrator and instead use Design Essentials Express Instant Moisturizing Conditioner. Type 4 hair that I straighten a few times a month. YMMV.

I hate to be the one to bring down the score, but for me the KPAK Hydrator was just ok. I found that my HGs Kenra Moisturizing and Kenra Mango Butter worked much better at balancing the moisture from KPAK Reconstructor. I have 4a hair that I flat iron weekly. It may work better for straighter textures.

UPDATE:

I have since replaced this with Design Essentials Express Instant …
