I have black, highlighted hair. I ran out of the Oribe Dry texturizing spray, which works very well for me, but is expensive. Tried this product because of the great reviews and the relatively lower price. It works great, volume-wise. However, initially, the application left me with white streaks in my hair. I roughed up my hair with my fingers and dispersed it. However, over the next couple of …Read more
I used to love this primer before the formula changed. I really don't care about the spf, MAC. So, if you are listening, please bring back the original formula-it was AMAZING-matte, soft-looking, pore-concealing, makeup retaining, etc. Also, if any MakeupAlley-ers have a great dupe for the old MAC formula, please message me. I have tried so many different primers, and none hold a candle.
I tried several times to use this as a foundation primer. Applied in my usual manner-balls up, white and patchy looking. warmed between my fingers and patted on-still looks patchy if i don't have good lighting/mirror during application. you know what worked? on a steamy, humid day, i applied my tinted moisturizer and powdered. still looked really shiny, so i warmed a bit of this primer and …Read more
This is what I wanted from the living luminizer. I have brown, skin, and the luminizer would show up frosty on me, unless it was warmed with my fingers and sheered out quite a bit. I could get it to work for me, but it did leave me a bit unsatisfied. Enter the master mixer-it is warmer, pinky gold that highlights and melts into my skin, no effort required. Fingers, no brushes or sponges-works …Read more
Love boy brow in black. Really builds up my sparse eyebrows in a natural way. I used to use various browns from Anastasia (pencils and powder), but this has a big impact with little effort. I do use a clean spoolie to brush throughafter using. It remains flexible, not flakey, which is great. Black looks natural, not too stark on me. Definitely enhances a bare faced look.
I have #16, a pretty, sheer orange. I just dab it on, and wow, tons of color, albeit sheer. I have pigmented lips and this looks like a lovely soft stain. It does fade a bit, but I only dab it on; I still have color at the end of the day on my lips. It is great for summer, will see if it works out for me in the winter.

I have cake, like and crush. Cake looks too muddy and light on my pigmented lips-some may like that nude look, but I like a bit of color to brighten my face and smile. Crush is a pretty berry shade, but a bit too pinky red for early in the day. I do like it though, just not as my everyday/anytime shade. Like is an easy compromise-I will also layer a bit of crush over it to pink it up and boost …Read more
I usually don't wear foundation, just primer or sunscreen with powder. When I do try foundations, typically there is something off-too muddy, doesn't blend or match my skin, oily, balls up, etc. I tried the skin tint in dark and it disappears into my skin. My skin looked like skin, just better. No primer underneath, just well exfoliated skin with skinceuticals serum underneath …Read more
Recently purchased a discontinued Bobbi Brown (toasted pink): I didn't send in a swatch, but chose to use what 3C had in their archives. I was very happy with the resulting lipstick. I also ordered a Shiseido lipstick (that must have been discontinued when I was in highschool-the eighties!) and got another good match. The consistancy of both lipsticks was matte-creamy, like their …Read more
