Treatments (Face) - DECLÉOR - Aromessence Neroli Hydrating Oil Serum

For me this is really the star of the Decleor range. I also adore the Rose d'Orient night balm, but I think if I had to choose one Decleor product to keep, it would be this Neroli Aromessence because I find it to be more versatile and work for a multitude of purposes - it is also something that I can use daily, which can be a challenge with blemish-prone and congestion-prone skin, because a …Read more

Treatments (Face) - DECLÉOR - Aromessence Ylang Ylang

I hate to add a bad review to a series of glowing testimonies, because it makes me feel as if I'm using it wrong! However this product just didn't work for me unfortunately, however much I wanted it to.

I'm a huge fan of Decleor - they're actually my favourite skincare company. However the issue I have with them, and a lot of other skincare lines, is that I find it …

Treatments (Face) - Unlisted Brand - Lavender Essential Oil

I love lavender oil and have used it for years - we've always had it in the house because it's one of my mom's favourites too.

I haven't used it yet on my skin, although I plan to try it, and will update if/when I do so.
But for me it's definitely worthy of a good review - I've always had trouble sleeping, I can easily be lying awake for hours before …

Cleansers - Alpha-H - Balancing Cleanser with Aloe Vera

Jul/17/2013

I feel like I'm in the minority here because as much as I wanted this cleanser to work for me, it just didn't.

I had heard such good things about Alpha-H products - my skin is blemish-prone in certain areas but also dehydrated and sensitive. I thought this would be able to balance and somewhat normalise my skin so then I could go in with targeted treatments for specific …

Shampoo - JASÖN - Soothing Sea Kelp Shampoo

This is the first natural/sls free shampoo I've tried..and I must say I'm impressed. I don't feel the need to try others out to compare, because I really like the results.

Now my hair is quite straight and thick but fine - I don't particularly need a 'smoothing' or defrizzing shampoo, but I liked the idea of sea kelp extract, so I chose this one anyway. It …

Gels/ Soaps - Dr. Bronner's - Hemp Peppermint Castille Soap

Over the past few months I've become increasingly aware of the amount of chemicals I put on my body on a daily basis..after doing some research, a lot of ingredients typically found in commercial beauty products quite frankly scared me..no way do I want to use known carcinogens on my body on a daily basis!

Now my skin is something I struggle with, so I wasn't quite willing to …

Treatments (Face) - BIODERMA - Hydrabio Serum

Mixed feelings about this product..I decided to try it after being impressed with the Crealine Water. My skin is blemish/clog prone, so I usually avoid typical moisturisers. But using things to treat the blemishes left my skin dehydrated and I thought this would be a good option.

I initially thought the price was a bit high considering it's a pharmacy brand, but at the same time I …

Treatments (Face) - Unlisted Brand - Rosemary essential oil

Jul/09/2013

This is a great little thing - after trying to go more natural in terms of products, I was intrigued by essential oils. Now my skin is sensitive and reactive - I'm allergic to loads of Lush stuff and using lavender and tea tree on my skin in the past has not worked. So I was hesitant to try this, but had heard great things and it's inexpensive, so I bought a 9ml bottle for £4. You only …Read more

Moisturizers - No Brand (DIY or homemade) - Avocado Oil

I have really sensitive eyes - even Bioderma and Liz Earle which are supposedly 'gentle' make my eyes burn and sting and cry like crazy. Taking off eye makeup every day is a horrible, horrible task for me. The only thing that didn't irritate my eyes were Simple makeup wipes - but these aren't exactly price-friendly in the long-run or economical.

I've been …

Eye Shadow - Boots - No7 Stay Perfect Eyeshadow in Wheatsheaf

This is my all-time favourite eyeshadow - I remember my Dad bought me a no7 starter kit as a gift when I was around 14 and this came in it - I have loved and used it ever since.
The colour is perfect - lightly shimmery pale brown with gold flecks. For my grey/blue/green eyes (they're a weird colour, I know), this really brings them out.

I don't wear base makeup - this …
