Eye Primer - Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Original

Wow! I can't believe I haven't reviewed this yet. Instead of repeating the praises everyone else has already heaped on this glorious miracle in a tube, let me just say that for me, personally, there is simply NO POINT applying eye makeup without this. With it, my eye makeup stays flawless from 7am to midnight; without it, panda eyes by lunchtime!!!! And one tube lasts more than a year …Read more

Cleansers - ORIGINS - Clean Energy Gentle Cleansing Oil

Dec/12/2011

I've been using cleansing oil for removing makeup for years, and my former HG was Shu's cleansing oil (have tried and loved the pink cherry blossom version and the green tea antioxidant version). I have tried many other Japanese brands (DHC, Fancl etc.) but since I live in the UK, Shu was the only widely available cleansing oil so I stuck with it despite the steep price tag. However …Read more

WOW... just wow... I can't believe my HG concealer turned out to be a £4 find from Collection 2000!!!!
I am a makeup junkie and have tried and bought so many concealers over the year, including Estee Lauder double wear, MAC pro longwear (I have 2 shades), Shu Uemura, Bobbi Brown... My favourite is probably EL DW in medium. It covers my undereye circles really well but is just a tad too …

Blush - Topshop - Cream Blush in Flush

I am obsessed with pinky/peachy/corally blush and lippie and I purchased this earlier this year to add to my growing collection. For the price (I think it was £7 here in the UK), this has a lovely formula which is silicone-based and blends really easily; in other words it doesn't feel cheap! The colour is gorgeous on my NC30-35 Asian skin. However being a cream blush it does get caked up …Read more

Powder - Too Faced - AMAZING FACE SPF FOUNDATION [DISCONTINUED]

Aug/09/2011

I bought this on special offer for £13, in Honey Beige (for reference, I'm NC30-35) and I'm soooo glad I didn't pay full price for this!! I love how the foundation makes me look - poreless, porcelain-like skin that's soft and matte. However when I washed it off at night after wearing it for a few hours (no more than 5), I found my face covered in numerous small pimples. Now …Read more

Concealers - MAC Cosmetics - Pro Longwear Concealer

I had pretty high hopes for this after reading the reviews on MUA and while I'm not disappointed, I can't say this is my HG concealer! Have this in NC30 which is perfect for some discoloration on my cheeks but just a tad too dark for my dark eye circles and has this almost grey cast against their purple-ish hues. I bought this product mainly for my undereye area so I guess I was a …Read more

Liquid - Lancôme - Teint Idole ULTRA [DISCONTINUED]

Haven't written a review for a while!! I'm a self-confessed ex-foundation junkie. I've owned about 30 different foundations, high end through to low end, and spent so much money experimenting with different products. I have yellow/olive-toned Asian skin (around NC30-40, depending on whether I have a tan or not) which is oily and used to be prone to breakouts (until I found …Read more

Self Tanners - Unlisted Brand - St. Moriz Self Tanner Mousse

Jun/12/2011

WOW I was totally blown away!!!! First I wanna make it clear that I don't have this in the original colour but in the new 'DARK' shade, so I can't comment on the original. I have used numerous self tanners in the past and this is undoubtedly the best out of them all. I love how fast and easy application is (with gloves & tanning mitt), how fast the formula dries so I can …Read more

Brows - CHANEL - Le Sourcil de Chanel Perfect Brows

***EDIT: 30June2011: found a MUCH better brow kit!! Try the brow kit from GOSH, it's only 7 pounds and works a treat. Comes in three colours just like the Chanel (maybe a bit less ashy but still very good shades), a clear wax and a brush/sponge applicator which is actually usable!!!! I've been using this everyday and am very pleased with the results. I still use my Rimmel pencil to …Read more

I got this last week for my birthday from one of my best friends and it's such a lovely gift - I've always loved the brand and coveted the adorable bottle. While I was familiar and in love with the original Miss Dior Cherie, I had never tested the new spring/summer version so as soon as I got home, I tried it on. It happened to be a really hot day and I can say that Miss Dior Cherie …Read more
