This is really fantastic dye; lasts a solid three weeks with little fade-out (using a sulfate-free shampoo and cool water, and heat while applying). Smells like bubblegum and applies easily. There's also a LOT of pigment in this, so even for a dark purple you really don't need a lot. The big con of it is that it STAINS EVERYTHING. For at least a week I woke up with purple all over my …Read more

Hair Color - Wella - Color Charm White Lady Toner

For some people, this is a great toner; for me, not so much. Let me preface by saying that my natural hair is a dark ash blonde, between a level 7 and 8. And it's extremely ashy, so it doesn't pull a lot of warm tones during the bleaching process, just a pale yellow that needs a little toning. T18 is a violet base, which should, in theory, neutralise the yellow into a silver. It …Read more

Styling Products - TIGI - PRO Shine Balm

Really, really great for lusterising and also acts as an efficient heat protectant. It has shimmery, metallic pigments in it to add shine. It's intended for use before blow drying, but you can use it without and still get a nice effect. Hair looks glossy and gorgeous after putting this in, and it's great for countering the dry look using an excessive amount of hair spray (like I do) …Read more

An aerosol hairspray that comes out a fine mist. Doesn't cake and gives excellent hold while feeling and looking very light on your hair. Great for shaping, and you can get a stiffer hold with more product. Also, smells nice. Love this stuff and use it every day.

This is absolutely fantastic for repairing damaged hair. I had bleached my stubborn ends twice to pull orange out of them (and a few particularly difficult pieces a third time), and my hair was very dry afterward. I had used several deep conditioners and moisturising treatments, which helped immensely to counteract the dryness of bleach, but my ends still needed a little help, so I picked this …Read more

Hair Color - Beyond The Zone - Blond Brilliance Express Nine Level Powder Lightener

I had a sample of this and used it to touch up my roots; my natural hair is between a level 7 and 8 ash blonde, which is pretty easy to lift to a level 10.

"Extra Strength," "Extra Moisture," and claims to lift up to 9 levels with a 25 developer while conditioning the hair to prevent damage. This product does not live up to its claims; it's very drying and …

This is actually a decent toner; if you leave it on for forty minutes over brassy hair, it turns pale yellow lilac and light orange to a dull pink. I went from red to pastel pink, so naturally my hair had a lot of orange in it after I bleached. This didn't pull all of it out, but it did pull most of it and left my hair a very pretty blend of colours (even though they only lasted until I …Read more

Hair Color - Manic Panic - Cotton Candy Pink

This might actually be the worst hair colour I've ever used. Let me preface by saying that I've been doing my hair a lovely pastel pink for a while now using Ion Color Brilliance Brights in Magenta with a shade diluter and it's excellent. It had been a while since I'd touched up and my colour was looking pretty dull; I've been wanting to give Manic Panic a try for a while …Read more

I got a box of this as a sample from my work and was planning on bleaching my hair anyway, so I figured I had might as well try it out. I regret that decision.

Where to start? For one, you can only use the Blond Brilliance Oil Creme Infusion Developer with this, so forget about using that liter of 30 in your cupboard, and you can only really use the Blond Brilliance developer with …
