Fragrances - Unlisted Brand - Histoires de Parfums - 1969 Revolte

1969 is a fruity chpre to my nose. It opens up with a rich aura with lots of peach and rose dipped in coconut milk, wrapped in heavy musk. The drydown is quite musky. I also smell some patchouli. It is a must-have for someone who is looking for complicate, less conventional fruity scents.

Fragrances - Parfums M.Micallef - Royal Muska

The very sharp and soapy opening nearly kills Royal Muska for me. It dries down to a musky scent with woody underdown, warm, soft and rounded, very close to skin. I get a bit of wood and sweetness (maybe Ylang?).

Fragrances - Montale - Chocolate Greedy

In the first 10 or 15 minutes, Chocolate Greedy smells rich, warm and dark chocolate. I get a lot of coco and nutty notes. I would have rated it 5 stars if it stayed like that. After 15 minutes, it turns into a synthetic mess. I feel cheated, as if a piece of mouth-watering praline from my favorite chef turned out to be just some mass-market junk food made of poor ingredients.

Fragrances - Unlisted Brand - The Pink Room UK - Darkly Audacious

Darkly Audacious opens up very sweet and boozy. It calms down after 20 minutes. I get a strong amber note from the beginning to the end. My nose also picks up rosewood, vanilla and some jasmine. The drydown is less powdery as I've expected.

Overall affect: sweet goumand amber. Quite comforting, not dark or dirty at all.

Notes from Luckyscent:
Lemon, bergamot …

Fragrances - Hermès - Jour d'Hermes

5.0

It opens up with a bitter orange note but the bitterless quickly melts down. My nose picks up orange blossom, rose, mango and a faint musky woody base. I don't detect any vegetal note and it's not very musky. The overall affect is bright and light. It smells like a sunny day in late Spring or early Summer.
It has a distinctive JCE stamp on it.

Fragrances - Parfums M.Micallef - Ylang

4.0

In my opinion, Ylang by M. Micallef is the golden standard of ylang fragrances. It opens with a blast of ylang mixed with white flowers and coconut. It quickly smoothes down. It is rich and well blended. I smell a faint sandalwood in the drydown. The ylang note is prominent from beginning to end.
I don't find it very tropical or too sweet.
Longevity: about 6 hours

You need sweet tooth to enjoy Amande! Amande is a strong almond scent, very sweet. It has amplified the milky almond aspect of her masterpiece, Love's True Bluish Light.
Amande has an artistic quality, nothing like the synthetic sugary water you get in department stores. I admire the perfumer's talent.

I much perfer the oil form of Cafe Noir than its EDP form. It smells wonderfully like freshly baked, rich and smoky coffee from beginnning to end. It's well-blened. My nose didn't pick up any other notes, no patchouli, cedar or shampoo

I am not a goumand person, but Love's True Bluish Light has won my heart. It is milky, almond-like, sweet but not too sweet, powdery but not too powdery. The name says it all. My new true love!
Bonus point: it's incredibly long lasting. I could still smell it after 12 hours.
