Sunscreen - COSRX - Aloe Soothing Sun Cream

This is a solid product. Nice scent, albeit a bit thick, no cast, applies evenly, sinks in. But there are more products in US drugstores near me that work just as well, that I don't have to order from abroad. Otherwise, it's perfectly fine.

Skincare - Face - Deciem - The Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% + HA 2%

This is my go-to for a topical acid. I really researched and tried many, and found that LA works on my sensitive skin. AHA was just too intense and burning. I started with TO 5% and then moved to 10% with zero problems. It is funky smelling and sticky, but who cares...it works and the results show. I use it in tandem with my Retin-A (2 nights RA, then 1 night LA). That and never stepping out of …Read more

I so wanted to love this sunscreen. So much so that I might buy it again, having now been a year...perhaps the formula changed a little. My problem was pilling, and this stuff was not good. Everything else was fine -- scent, not sticky, not shiny. Just the pilling. I've since moved to different moisturizers as well, and I've read that that can be the difference. Will add if 2nd try …Read more

Since entering my 50s, my hair and face have gone through quite a change. My rosacea has intensified, and my face has become more dry. I've tried/tested at least 8 different brands of "foundation" to find something that works with my 'new' skin. I've never been a big foundation person in general, but I want something that looks fresh and evens out my ruddy-colored …Read more

I make my own Vitamin C toner but ideally I've wanted to find something I can trust (more than my recipe, no matter how exacting I am), and is not expensive. Enter The Ordinary.

I wanted to like this, I really did! But I've compromised:

- Texture: the grit is horrible for faces. I wear VitC in the am as I wear other exfoliates in the pm, so I will be putting …

My dermatologist recommended and prescribed and my insurance copayment was $50. If I used it every day, I imagine it would last a couple of months because it only requires a tiny pea size on the affected areas and spreads thinly.

This really does work--there are definite results with me, although it might vary with some.

I have had rosacea for 20 years, and with my fair …

Makeup Brushes - Real Techniques - Expert Face Brush

May/10/2015

I LOVE this brush. First off, I'm a non-makeup gal--only for 'occasions'. Method my whole life has been a tinted spf moisturizer and *maybe* some liquid foundation on top, applied with fingers or sponge. Since so many new tools and videos and applications have come out in the last decade, it's been fun to read about and experiment, so I decided that if and when I wear makeup …Read more

At 54, with fine wrinkles appearing (but not alot, I actually don't look 54, so my goal was to stay that way!), I thought I'd give Retin-A it a try. I have a very good dermatologist, who told me to do the following:
- start out at every other day for 2 weeks
- apply to face, neck, chest, and backs of hands
- only apply at night (his philosophy: repair in pm, restore in …
