I've used Paula's Choice C15 Booster since 2013 and did pretty well with it. I wouldn't have strayed except the price kept creeping up (and discounts less and less). With our falling Canadian dollars, $48 USD for 20ml is looking very expensive indeed.

(I was given Skinceuticals CE Ferulic sample which I was quite okay with also, except for the $166 CAD price tag for a …

And so my beloved RoC Enydrial lip balm got reformulated into something that's a shadow of its former self...I ended up spending a good amount of time searching for a replacement. Finally decided to pick this up at a store I wouldn't even normally go in (oh, the smell). It's about $7 or $8 CAD which is fine by me if it works just as well as Enydrial in keeping my dry lips happy …Read more

My lousy oily, sensitive and rosacea-prone skin underwent a series of 4 Clear & Brilliant laser treatment earlier this year. I was hoping for an improvement to my skin texture, and that I got in spades. While my skin still looks poor with freckles, minor telangiectasia and naturally large pores, it's VERY smooth to the touch. I noticed my laser technician applying this serum right …Read more

This was my favourite lip balm. Yes, I said WAS. I've used it for years until the latest tube I got. Right away I noticed something was different about it, and sure enough, after trying it out for a few days, it's definitely a reformulated product.

Then I went to compare ingredients:

Previous version: fairly soft consistency (some people said it's too soft …

I've been using this for about 4 months now, so I figured a fair assessment can be written. First of all, I have very oily, sensitive, rosacea (flushing and telangiectasia prone) skin that has undergone 3 Gemini laser treatment in the past 3 years. In February I also had one session of Excel-V which I felt worked slightly different than Gemini, but enough of the preamble.

This …

I'll echo previous reviewers in saying that this colour definitely has an orangey tone on me, and I have very pale lips. Overall I'd describe it as orangey-brownish-red. It's not unflattering but isn't anything special, either. But I'm not basing my review on colours, which is subjective and could vary wildly depending on the user's natural colouring. My issue …Read more

A confession here: I bought this for no other reason than I wanted the GWP from The Bay. I don't use any foundation at all. After getting my rosacea skin treated with Gemini laser 2 years ago, all I wear is the Shiseido SPF 38 sunscreen for face and some concealer. Sure I have a powder for my extra-oily T-Zone but that's about it. However, as I was browsing for something …Read more

Let me say first of all, that I don't bother with any eyeliner now without putting on Urban Decay Primer Potion first. I have very oily skin and of course, oily eyelids. If I don't blot at least couple of times throughout the day, by early evening my eyes would be stinging. UDPP solved that problem and I wouldn't go a day without it.

Regarding eyeliners - I started …

I've had this product for a while now and have tried to make it work from time to time....and I have come to the conclusion that it simply doesn't work. If I hold the spray a bit close then it gives me gunky white layer that cannot be fully brushed out even after giving it some time to "dry". If I hold it further away then it gives me nothing, but possibly oilier looking …Read more

I'm still not sure what possessed me to buy this when I've been very happy with the Green Earth shampoo and have been for couple of years. Perhaps it was the fact it came packaged with a leave-in conditioner and was only $5.50. At the time of purchase I had just cut off the permed ends of my hair so other than semi-permanent colour, my hair's untreated. Boy was I not impressed …Read more
