Lip Gloss - Estée Lauder - High Gloss - Blush [DISCONTINUED]

I like this gloss alot. It feels soft and velvety and wears off very nicely. The color I have, blush, is pretty and delicate. My lips are pigmented, but the sheer color still works because it makes my lips look evenly pigmented and has the slightest pink-peach tint to it. I cannot figure out the smell of it, but it doesn't bother me. It is like a faint violet/ lilac, light smell that …Read more

Hair Treatments - Clairol - Clairol Nice'n Easy ColorSeal Conditioning Gloss

This stuff is remarkable. It instantly softened my hair and made it feel like baby hair. I have very curly hair and it made the curls super soft and pretty. I would not, however, recommend using this more than once a week. It would probably over-condition the hair and make it limp. I would have never known about this little gem if not for the MUA reviews! Definitely will be a permanent part …Read more

Lip Gloss - CLINIQUE - Superbalm Moisturizing Gloss in Currant

5.0

Aug/26/2007

Clinique broke the mold with this one. I own more lipglosses than any person I know, including several of the old superbalm formulas. This is the best one I've ever found. Here is why: It is moisturizing, but not the least bit sticky. It feels like velvet going on. The colors are absolutely gorgeous--very subtle, but buildable, and nicely pigmented. The look is smooth and shiny, but …Read more

I love these--have one in ruby red. They are pretty perfect as far as a sheer goes: no fragrance, no heaviness, lasting power is above average, color is sheer but significant, and they are thin and easy to apply. I am waiting for them to go on BOGO so I can get them all. I see these as staple-material, not necessarily HG, but just all-around good. If I find a perfect color though, they will …Read more

Lipstick - Paula's Choice - Sheer Cream Lipstick SPF 15 in Nude Illusion

Wow, I'm so torn! This is the perfect nude color--I really, really like it. Most nudes wash out my brown skin, but this one has a teeny pinch of rose, peachy sheen. BUT, I agree with the previous reviewer about how it sits on the lips. I applied it after the Paula Invisble lip liner and it does look a little tacky--for some reason it won't sink in. If I can find a way around that …Read more

Top/Base Coats - Orly - Sec 'N Dry Multi-Layer Quick-Dry Topcoat

Utter garbage! I tried it on clean nails, polished nails, whatever, and each time it dries with a very rough finish. It does dry fast, but what good is that if everything it touches looks horrible?
I am shocked at the reviews here. Though I really wanted it to work and gave it many chances, it simply is not aesthetically pleasing. My 1.99 NYC Long WEaring Gloss is miles above this!

Shampoo - Alba Botanica - Honeydew Nourishing Hair Wash

Awww, I wanted to like this! But, it just didn't have the magic for me. In fact, it made my hair very dry and difficult to comb out. I returned it, which is odd for me because I can usually make a shampoo work. But I knew it wasn't right for me because the minute I returned to my beloved Giovanni 50/50, the world was right again. Darn it.

I still gave it a 2 because it …

Cleansers - Good Skin - Clean Skin Foaming Cleanser

This product caused me a lot of grief. I was using it with RAM and Duac and BP because I thought it was a good, fairly gentle, sulfate-free cleanser. Yet, my skin got increasingly worse. Naturally, I thought it was the pescription meds. My derm and I went through every combo possible, adding Differin, Taz, whatever, trying to figure out what the culprit ingredient was. Well, turns out, it …Read more

Hair - Beauty Without Cruelty - Revitalizing Leave In Conditioner

4.0

Jan/17/2007

I have a closet full of leave-in conditioners to tame my frizzy curls. This is the only one that actually works completely. It softens wet-and wear curls and definitely makes curlies curlier. The only reason I gave it a 4 is that it has to be washed out after about 3 days or my hair gets a bit dry and it becomes impossible to comb the curls out. Will repurchase again and again. P.S.. This …Read more

Got this for 1/2 off at Rite-Aid and I'm taking it back the first chance I get. The scrubbies are TOO abrasive for any skin, imo, and I am not particularly sensitive or dry.
I should have known better when I read the reviews before purchasing. So many people who used and like St. Ives like this cleanser, and that St. Ives is criminally harsh on skin. Dammit.
Maybe I'll …
