Primer/ Corrector - ULTA - Professional Foundation Primer

Never having used a primer before, I picked up the Ulta brand because if primer might not be for me, I didn't want to spend a fortune on yet another makeup item. It was fairly affordable, it did give my face a certain glow and more lasting power to my makeup. One thing I was really HOPING for was visibly reduced pores on my nose - I need Spackle. :( I didn't see a reduction in my …Read more

Eye Shadow - ORIGINS - Underwear for Lids

Mar/29/2010

This is the first and only eyeshadow primer I've used, and I've stuck with it because it works VERY well for me (my eyeshadow doesn't disappear or crease up on my eyelids) and it's usually only $13. My mother tried mine and bought one for herself. That spoke volumes to me because for her, spending $13 on a makeup item might as well be spending $100! The colors I've …Read more

Skincare - Body - Sally Hansen - Naturally Bare Honey Wax

5.0
Created with Sketch.

Mar/29/2010

After trying the Sally Hansen lavender wax kit (the lavender wax is VERY hard to clean up/remove) I tried this honey wax kit. LOVE IT! Clean up is a snap because the wax washes off with water - no scrubbing or peeling off required - and depending on where you use the wax, you can even jump in the shower to rinse off instead of your body parts being glued together until you're able to pry …Read more

Treatments (Face) - Unlisted Brand - Rite Aid Brand - Pore Strips

1.0

I love the Biore strips, especially the DEEP cleansing ones, and bought the Rite Aid brand to save money, plus when I bought them, there was a buy-one-get-one-free offer. Unfortunately, I got stuck with 2 boxes of generic strips that didn't work NEARLY as well as Biore's, plus the Rite Aid strips smelled like cigarette butts to me. :(

Treatments (Face) - Bioré - Ultra Deep Cleansing Pore Strips

I have large pores on my nose that are ALWAYS full of blackheads no matter what I do. I've used clay masks that DO help reduce blackheads, but the Biore strips, especially the DEEP cleansing ones work the best for me. They don't get every single blackhead but they get TONS of them out and this method is safer for me, because when I squeeze them out (I know, a big no-no) I end up …Read more

Hair - OGX - pomegranate green tea shampoo

5.0

Aug/27/2009

I buy this brand (tried the Tea Tree Mint scent and liked it) because it's SLS-free and my scalp has responded well (no more thick, itchy, scaly patches of skin on my scalp anymore.) I've seen reviewers saying their bottles were runny, but both of my bottles (Tea Tree Mint scent and now Pomegranate Green Tea scent) were thicker than usual shampoos; somewhat gel-like. For an SLS-free …Read more

I bought this shampoo because it's SLS-free and my scalp has responded well (no more thick, itchy, scaly patches of skin on my scalp anymore.) I've seen reviewers saying their bottle was runny, but mine was thicker than usual shampoos; somewhat gel-like. For an SLS-free shampoo, it lathers just fine and to me, smells like a soft mint scent mixed with vanilla. Also, I was afraid to …Read more

I smelled this perfume on a girl at work and it smelled amazing! Thank God she showed me the bottle and told me the name of it, because I bought myself some asap. I worried that maybe it wouldn't smell as wonderful on me as it did on her, but the worries were short lived. I ALWAYS get compliments on this scent, and I'm ALWAYS being asked what perfume I'm wearing, even hours …Read more

Mascara - REVLON - 3D Extreme Mascara - Blackest Black [DISCONTINUED]

I've been a loyal Loreal Lash Out person for years and shame on me for trying another brand! Money is tight for everyone now, so when CVS had a buy one, get one free sale on Revlon mascara, I picked up the 3D formula (paid $9.99 for it.) First thing I noticed is that there's nothing in the opening of the tube to keep 5 lbs of mascara off the brush. I spent a good bit of time scraping …Read more
