Foundations - Dior - Forever Skin Glow 24HR-Wear Radiant Perfection Skin-Caring Foundation

Wow, I'm in love! This foundation is perfect for my normal/dry skin.

It was a struggle to find the right color. 1N too pale, 2N too dark. But 1.5N is a winner!

This foundation lasts all day, yet it's not as heavy as the Nars I used to use. Provides a much more airbrushed look. (Yeah, I flatter myself.)

The only negative is the packaging. Yes, it's in a …

Polishes - Essie - Nail Polish - Allure

This is the MNBB polish I've been looking for my whole life! The color is subtle and gorgeous. I use a clear base (Mavala 002) then one coat of Allure, then a top coat. Bam! Looks great for days. I just want nails that look beautifully healthy--not opaque white or pink. This polish is money.

One star lost from "Packaging" because I'm not a fan of Essie brushes. So I …

Brows - MAC Cosmetics - Eye Brows Styler

I love this pencil, and it lasts me at least two months. I've struggled with colors for awhile--Lingering is a perfect match for my highlighted hair color, but I recently switched to Stylized. It's a great match for my root color. Makeup artists say that's what you should go for.

The color lasts forever. I have normal/dry skin, and I think if you have oily skin you'll …

Treatments (Face) - Unlisted Brand - Retin A Cream

I have a different approach to Retin-A use than others, and it works great.

My facial skin is very good for a 61 YO woman, but my decolletage doesn't look great (sun damage). Over the years, I've tried Retin-A a few times, but always quit because of irritation. Late last year, I talked to my dermatologist about this, and he gave me a prescription for .025. (Insurance companies …

Sunscreen - Paula's Choice - RESIST Skin Restoring Moisturizer with SPF 50

I resisted Paula's Choice Resist for a long time. I've had bad experiences with moisturizers with any amount of SPF. But I got a sample of the Resist sans sunscreen. It's amazing, but it's too moisturizing for day time. So I went to my nearby N department store and talked to the Paula's Choice people. They assured me the SPF 50 wouldn't bother me.

Wow, they …

Moisturizers - CLINIQUE - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel

1.0

EDIT:
Sadly, I must change my original rave review to one star. As a few other dry-skinned reviewers have said, this product does nothing to moisturize. It soaks in immediately and my skin then feels smooth and tight. At first, I thought this was just efficiency. Then I went through a couple weeks of using this then applying foundation (Dior)... then going through a day of flaky, ugly skin. I …

Moisturizers - Kiehl's - Ultra Facial Moisturizer

I gave this a try, but alas, no go. It seems to moisturize nicely when I first put it on, but my face is shiny by 2 p.m. This also means that my foundation starts to disappear. Yesterday I got four samples of other products from Sephora--will post a review if anything wows me.

Brows - NYX Professional Makeup - Micro Brow Pencil

I wanted to find a dupe for the $30 Trish McEvoy Precision Brow Shaper in Natural (which is actually a soft brown). Sure enough, NYX in Ash Brown is the closest match I could find. I like it a lot--similar color and formulation. And it's got a nice spoolie brush (esp. compared to Sephora brand's lame "comb").

I also tried Taupe, which looks like a soft brown on the …
