Cleansers - KOSE - Softymo Speedy Cleansing Oil

4.0
Created with Sketch.

Sep/22/2018

This is one of my top 3 cleansing oils - a dupe for FANCL which is my No 1. These are cheap in HK but not so cheap to import to Australia. Still I’ve given it a good score for price. These rinse off cleanly, don’t make me breakout and aren’t drying. I have repurchased a few times. I can’t tell a huge diff between the various Softymo cleansing oils except maybe thickness of the oil but the result …Read more

Lipstick - Lipstick Queen - Butterfly Ball Lipstick - Goodbye

Sep/11/2016

This cost about AU$35 or so, comparable to MAC but is sheer (slightly buildable) and not longwearing so quite costly overall. It's probably one of the most beautiful shades I own, a perfect 90s brown plum with a stunning blue green reflect. I love a reflect! It is like Clinique's Black Honey almost lipstick, both in colour and opacity. The reflect makes it slightly cooler toned. The …Read more

Skincare - Face - Unlisted Brand - OST Original Pure Vitamin C20 Serum

4.0

Sep/11/2016

I'm giving this a 4 overall and I will repurchase until I find something better. It's super affordable on wishtrend but I also wanna try and DIY due to the short shelf life. Vit c is something I wanted to add to my routine for ages but it's less accessible than say acids or retinol. So it has taken me awhile but I'm now a fan. It's annoying having to go to the fridge for …Read more

Highlighters - BECCA - Shimmering Skin Perfector Liquid Highlighter - Moonstone

5.0

Jul/22/2016

Instant HG, as in love at first sight. I bought this for $50 on sale at AdoreBeauty this week after doing my usual online research and in-store swatching. Moonstone is the only shade I decided would match my skin for my purposes because it is yellow-toned and I am yellow/olive toned Asian with medium skin, say NC25-30. I like to play up the yellowness a lot to match my body and neck. So this …Read more

Contour - Kat Von D - Shade & Light Contour Palette

Another rave review of this contour palette, I don't want to just repeat what everyone else has said so I will try and summarise my thoughts. I ummed and ahhed for so long on this - probably for as long as it has been out. It sells out always at my local Melbourne Sephora so I kinda forgot about it. I used the ELF contour palette (dupe for Smashbox?) and found it okay. I ordered the Kevyn …Read more

Eyeliner - ColourPop - Creme Gel Liner

Jul/09/2016

I'm surprised more people haven't reviewed these! I've got Swerve, the true black shade. I bought it because Kathleenlights reviewed how longwearing these are for the waterline and I wanted to see how it compares to my Urban Decay 24/7 and my other Korean eyeliner.
I can honestly say this is the best waterline or tight line eyeliner of my life. I've been using eyeliner …

Gels/ Soaps - Dr. Bronner's - 4-in-1 Sugar Organic Pump Soap

4.0
Created with Sketch.

Jun/21/2016

I bought this on a whim because I ran out of my fave Aesop pump soap and was at the shops. I LOVE this pump soap. It is completely different to any other soap I've had, I am not a regular sugar soap user but do know it is sold at the hardware store for tradies and stuff. I don't really know what it is meant to do.
This soap is 4-in-1 meaning you can use it as hand soap, body wash …

Foundations - Unlisted Brand - Lucy Minerals Foundation

5.0

Jun/18/2016

This is the highest rated mineral fdtn for a reason! I must say I was sceptical when purchasing because it seemed too good to be true - custom blend, indie brand, cheapish, good quality, really? Surely not.
The website looked sorta dodge, and I was like, well hey at these prices I'll take a gamble. And it paid off!
I got the pack and chose 2 custom blend fdtns instead of a powder …

Lip Treatments - Aesop - Rosehip Seed Lip Treatment

3.0
Created with Sketch.

Jun/18/2016

For price I give it 3 lippies cos it's expensive but you hardly use any. For packaging I give it 3 lippies - it's a thin cream and in classic Aesop form is in a metal tube, which is the aesthetic Aesop likes and also keeps the ingredients preserved. It's simple and relatively effective but you gotta put the lid on straight away as others have said.
My overall rating is 3 …

Treatments (Face) - Mario Badescu - Drying Cream

5.0

Jun/06/2016

I've given this the highest ratings overall and for packaging. I also have the buffering lotion and may review that later but for me the Drying Cream is essential in my pimple busting kit.
I have been using this for around 10 year and it never fails me. As you can see if you read my other reviews, I tend to review and recommend my HG products because review-writing takes time and I …
