BB Cream - L'Oreal Paris - Advanced Suncare Silky Sheer BB Face Lotion SPF 30

I bought this grudgingly because much of the make-up I use doesn't contain enough SPF. I say "grudgingly" because I was certain it would be a pain to add to my routine, and I was also sure it would leave my skin feeling greasy.

I was happily surprised to find that I love this stuff! It has taken the place of my foundation primer, in fact, and it leaves no film at all …

Bath Treatments - No Brand (DIY or homemade) - Epsom Salt Bath

Oh my, MUA. You are responsible for so many wonderful discoveries!

I love baths - love.them. I haven't taken a shower since my c-section four and a half years ago (twins!). While I rarely have time to soak these days (see aforementioned twins), when I really need to unwind, Dr. Teal's chamomile epsom salts are my drug of choice ($4.89 for a 3-lb. bag).

Others …

I actually feel guilty for not having reviewed (read: endorsed) this fragrance yet! While I'd love to be one of those women with a signature scent that she wears every day, I am at heart a product fanatic, which extends to fragrances as well. I love trying new ones and have learned to order either rollerballs or travel sizes, because usually I tire of a fragrance before I can finish a large …Read more

Palettes - Urban Decay - NAKED [DISCONTINUED]

This review is for the Naked Basics eyeshadow palette.

I recently turned forty but have found myself shying away from glittery shadows for several years now. On the plus side, I have large "doe" eyes; on the negative, those come with hereditary bags and eyelids that get crepe-y if I wear something too shimmery. So I've long been in the market for subtle, neutral shadows …

Shampoo - Moroccanoil - Moisture Repair Shampoo

I had high hopes for this shampoo, as I've heard so many people endorse the Moroccanoil line. ...But alas, it does nothing at all for me.

I have bra strap length hair that is thin around my hairline but thick and full in the back; it's also straight along the sides of my face but kinky wavy in the back if I let it air dry. (I have the world's weirdest hair; fortunately …

Like so many of you, I've tried dozens and dozens of conditioners ranging from salon quality to drugstore brands, and frankly, my search for a HG daily conditioner ended the day I first used this one. ...Wow. That sounded more dramatic than I intended. :o)

This is a thick, rich conditioner that allows me to comb through my very fine, tangle-prone hair without so much as a snag …

I completely agree with the previous reviewer who likened this scent to Issey Miyake's L'Eau D'Issey Florale, which is one of my HG scents. While I'm a self-proclaimed fragrance whore, I will admit that I'm not as well-versed in articulating fragrance notes as so many of you on this site.

That said: Nirvana White is most definitely a floral in the same vein as …

Cleansers - Bliss - Fabulous Foaming Face Wash

I absolutely adore this face wash, as well as the corresponding body wash (oh yes, there is one!). I've got borderline sensitive skin - tends toward reddish on my t-zone and chin but never breaks out, no many how many products I try. Yet I can use this several times a week without upsetting my skin. While I love the exfoliating aspect of this - smaller granules that gently cleanse without …Read more

Ah, Leaves - I look forward to fall the way most people anticipate Christmas, so it's a happy day for me when I pull out my fall fragrances and decorations. Leaves has been a staple (and symbol) of autumn for me since the fragrance debuted some five or six years ago.

What I love about it is that it's a mixture of what I think are the best things about fall: the cool, crisp …

I, too, am surprised by the lack of love for this scent. I find it really sophisticated - sultry, with notes of vanilla and rum, but balanced with the perfect amount of fruity sweetness. It's a terrific scent for fall and winter - warm and quite sexy. My husband is not typically a scent kind of guy, but he commented on how much he likes it.

When the line debuted, I bought every …
