I've found the Revlon Colorstay Concealer to be a really great product. I use this mainly when I only have a few minutes in the morning to do my face and need to do a speedy job, using this in place of foundation and applying while my moisturizer is still a bit dewy. I use a combination of the fair and light shades, basically using the doe foot applicator to slather both around where I need …Read more

I've been a faithful user of this for years, and really like it BUT it does give really bad shrinkage once you hit a certain point in the bottle, even after thinning, and even if you wrap the tips well. I've never had a problem with this drying well- I've used two coats on top of most of my manis about an hour before bed, and it dries well with loads of shine. I apply base and …Read more

I wasn't terribly impressed with this product. Oddly enough, I had no issue with the packaging, and found the product to have a decent consistency that worked with the dropper/pipette packaging. What didn't work for me, is that the product is basically a very heavy, siliconized oil that did nothing to "prime" my makeup, and didn't do anything to help my makeup last or …Read more

I bought this to see how/if it compares to Pixi's Glow Tonic. While it has a higher conc. (this one is 7%, while Pixi is 5%) it's a good product. I've been using this once a day, using surgical gauze to apply (you waste less product, and the gauze also provides some mild backup exfoliation). It's been keeping my skin clear, glowy and flake free, and keeps my skin nicely, but …Read more

Primer/ Corrector - MAC Cosmetics - Prep + Prime Face Protect Lotion SPF 50

Overall, a decent product. Pros: it's a lightweight lotion primer with SPF 50. The SPF is the whole reason I bought it. The texture is light, spreadable, goes on very smooth and doesn't pill. Huge bonus: this product layers so well with my other skincare products, and all I have to do is use this on top, and it does the job of 3 products in one (lotion/primer/SPF). Cons: like some other …Read more

I so wanted to like this. On me, this tinted moisturizer is SO dark, I looked like an ooompa-loompa. So, not for the PPP folks. Also, when layered with other products, it does pill, so this is best used on its own. If it came in more shade ranges, though, it would be an ideal light summer-time moisturizer, when your skin doesn't need much. The SPF level in this product is also nice- I wish …Read more

I really wanted to like this product, but I don't. At all. I've been trying to use more natural products and have been on the hunt for a "safe" sunscreen- one that has more natural ingredients for everyday use, but that's also reef-safe. This product is extremely thick, sticky, it never absorbs and remains tacky until it wears off or you wash it off. Plus, my clothes …Read more

I love this cream. I find it's more of a jellyish balm than a cream, thought. I use it in the winter, when the cold weather, dry air and central heating can turn a person's skin to jerky. I use this as the final step for layering over my serums at night, and it does a fabulous job of locking in moisture. When it's really cold and starts to hit the -30°C/-22°F outside, I use it in …Read more

Cleansers - CLINIQUE - Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm

Overall, this is decent. It does a good job of removing all my makeup, including waterproof mascara. I find It still has a slightly 'waxy' feel when cleansing though, and I also find it doesn't completely rinse away cleanly, so I need to always double cleanse when using this. It's also pretty much unfragranced to my nose, or if it does have fragrance, it's so light that I …Read more

I've been using this for several months now, and it's pretty good. It's quite emollient, gets all my makeup off (including waterproof mascara) and does a nice job of cleansing. It's not as 'slippy' or clean rinsing as some others I've tried (Banila's Clean It Zero is my favorite), and is slightly 'waxy' feeling, so I always do a double cleanse …Read more
