Cleansers - Pixi - Pixi + Caroline Hirons Double Cleanse

I love a good cleansing balm and I exclusively use cream cleansers as a second cleanse, preferring their richer texture over a cleansing milk (I have dry skin and wouldn't dream of using a gel or foam), and these are two of the best I've tried. I'd prefer the balm to be more buttery than 'solid oil' (it has a lard-like texture), but it's so good at removing makeup …Read more

Cleansers - HADA LABO - Gokujyun Makeup Removing Cleansing Oil

I've used this cleanser on/off for a long time and always thought highly of it; it removes my makeup really well and is one of very few truly ragrance free oil cleansers. I'm very acne-prone, but I don't usually get any spots if I'm taking care of my skin. For the last couple months this has been my sole cleanser, and man have I been breaking out. I never suspected Gokujyun …Read more

Treatments (Face) - Unlisted Brand - iUNIK - Beta-Glucan Power Moisture Serum

Amazing serum. Colloidal oatmeal is hard to find in high concentrations in skincare, and beta-glucans are harder still to find. Beta-glucans are the 'active' component that makes colloidal oatmeal so soothing and anti-inflammatory. The only other lines I know of that include it in decent concentrations are First Aid Beauty and Paula's Choice, both markedly more expensive than …Read more

Treatments (Face) - It's Skin - Power 10 Formula LI Effector

This is a quite viscous, almost gel-like serum with a slightly oily, nourishing feel as it goes on. It absorbs quickly and leaves a slightly tacky residue for a minute or so. Really hydrating and skin-plumping and obviously potent because it helps fade my PIE where few things do. The licorice must be highly concentrated because this is one of the most effective non-active serums I own. I have …Read more

Really calming and gentle. My skin is super prone to inflammation and this calms it down a lot. It's super hydrating and fragrance-free, ticks all boxes. Packed full of skin soothing ingredients lists and super cheap for 150ml. HG toner.

This product is a life saver for me but can easily be misused. The heavy zinc content makes this a dream for reducing acne inflammation. I have never had the luxury of a simple whitehead, I have mast cell abnormalities that mean my body's inflammatory response is a joke; they're always cysts, pustules and nodules. They can't be popped because my skin doesn't heal well from …Read more

Cleansers - Eucerin - DermatoCLEAN Mild Cleansing Milk

This is a really lovely cleanser that ticks all my boxes; pH balanced (I think it's 5.5?), non-drying, and fragrance free. I bought mine for £5 something, which is a great price for 200ml of product. The RRP in the UK is £8.50, but every time I've looked at this it's been around the £5 mark, though I'd happily pay full price and then some.

The packaging is one of …

I first tried this about 6 months ago when my skin wasn't used to glycolic, so when it gave me a few whiteheads I put it down to my skin not being acclimatised yet. I've since used stronger glycolic (I'm pretty sure LG is 10%) with no issues, so I tried LG again last night. I woke up this morning with three very inflamed spots that bled when I took a lancet to them. I have no idea …Read more

Eyeliner - MAC Cosmetics - Liquidlast Liner - Point Black

This is my core eyeliner. I actually have dry/lizard skin that's prone to dehydration, but my eyelids are really oily. This is without any exaggeration the only liner that's ever lasted more than an hour on my eyelids, whether they've been prepped or not. This stuff lasts forever both in the tube and on my lids, and is a heavily pigmented black.
I hate the brush so much, but …
