I can't believe how great this stuff is, especially for the price. I had been using Becca Ever-Matte (in Cashmere) for my oily T-zone, and it worked well until it started looking cakey on me – don't know if the formula changed or my skin changed, but I couldn't get a smooth, natural finish any more. Enter this stuff, at about one quarter the price. The shade 175 Natural Ochre is a …Read more

I have this in Call My Blush, which is a nice subtle pink for my NC 20 skin, nothing special in terms of ease of application or staying power. My main gripe is with the packaging, though: this stupid little compact is incredibly hard to open, and just this morning it flew out of my hands while I was struggling to get a grip on it. I've bought $7 blushes at the drugstore that had better, more …Read more

All my life I've struggled with an oily T-zone, and it's been a constant challenge to find a foundation that (a) matches my skin tone, and (b) lasts all day. I was a big fan of the now discontinued Revlon Colorstay Mineral Mousse – I know a lot of people hated it, but it worked perfectly for me, perhaps because I don't use foundation all over my face, just to conceal redness, large …Read more

I may just have found my HG cream blush, for my NC20 combo skin, after disappointing experiences with Bobbi Brown (poor staying power), Revlon (ditto), Mac's Brit Wit ( pulled peach on me & didn't last either), Honest Beauty (good product but I couldn't find a color that looked natural on me).

I bought the Elizabeth Arden in Plum, which looks dark in the pan but …

I completely agree with the reviewer who complained about the product design – there's no way to use this concealer and put the little wand back in the tube without getting a goopy mess on the outside – and this stuff ain't cheap! Plus, it dries almost as soon as it touches your skin, so it's difficult, if not impossible, to blend properly (believe me, I've tried). I use it …Read more

The color is good – a nice blue-based pink, doesn't turn orange on me – but otherwise I'm disappointed with this product. Over-hyped and overrated! The pencil has no staying power, needs to be sharpened often (and wastefully), and is poorly designed so that the top pops off randomly, like a rocket. Way overpriced for what you actually get.
