BB Cream - CHANEL - CC Cream

For me at my age (64), this just doesn't work. It used to but, like others have said, it is all silicone. And sits in every.single.line. I used a Chanel foundation brush, buffed lightly...and ended up with wallpaper paste. And though it says it has a high spf, I was red after a 15-minute walk. So what is the point? Chanel foundation colors can be a tough match for fair skins, too. Deep …Read more

If you love No. 5 and want to treat yourself, look no further than this body oil. It comes in a spray glass bottle and only requires one spritz on your hands to cover your legs and arms. Absorbs perfectly. Not over scented. Love, love, love!

Powder - Lancôme - Dual Finish Versatile Powder Makeup

I've used this off and on since I was 21 - and I'm 63. I've switched around to both high and low but always make my way back.

I've made an effort to seriously use sunscreen so I need something that will be fast to apply and not streak. Ta dah!

I press it - don't sweep it - with a kabuki brush. I'm guessing that the Lancôme brush would be …

Concealers - Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Hydrating Concealer

I like the concept of this concealer but not the execution.

First, we all need different attributes from a concealer - they're not all equal anymore. And so finding a product is trial and error for all of us.

That being said, this is NOT for those with significant dark circles- there isn't enough pigment. It also isn't so good for concealing blemishes or dark …

Moisturizers - Neutrogena - Hydro Boost City Shield Water Gel Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SFP 25

5.0

I feel like Goldilocks when trying to find a sunscreen: this one is too oily, this one breaks me out but THIS one - and I call it a sunscreen rather than a moisturizer - is just right!

Granted the SPF is only 25 but my skin looks great, the irritation is minor all things considered, and the price isn't a rip-off (which many sunscreens are becoming.)

Neutrogena pushes …

Moisturizers - CeraVe - Skin Renewing Night Cream

I really need to stop watching YouTube as a source for products. Dr. Dray - who must be on the CeraVe payroll - recommended this and the ingredient list is okay but the feeling is 100% silicones. It really does feel like a layer of cling wrap. And it does that awful dulling of your skin that silicone does.

But this is just me. You might love it for all of the reasons I …

BB Cream - Maybelline New York - Dream Fresh BB 8-in-1 Cream

I think this has been reviewed positively and negatively to death but I just want to add this: read the ingredient list not the product name.

I don't care what it is called, for it to be a mineral sunscreen with an spf 30, it's got to have some serious titanium dioxide in it and that can make your skin look greasy. And it breaks many people out. And it's white - thus the …

Foundations - ColourPop - No Filter Foundation

In my quest for lower-prices products, I thought I would give ColourPop a try.

Ugh.

I'm impressed by the color range. But - like many of these wide-color ranges, I still end of mixing shades.
And the finish is just awful. I'm clearly not in the right demographic: this liquid might work on super-oily skins. But the blend is patchy whether I use a brush or a …

Liquid - L'Oreal Paris - True Match Super-Blendable Makeup SPF 17

Oh come ON!

First, I think this formula has changed over the years. And second, I never experienced "patchy" until I met this foundation! It must be the titanium dioxide.

I have good skin. But this made good skin look just AWFUL.

Dull, uneven coverage. And even with 50 shades, it still doesn't match.

I applaude L'Oreal for the …

Eye Shadow - Makeup Revolution - Revolution Re-Loaded Palette - Basic Mattes

I'm with Wyldflower (see below-or above) THIS.IS.GREAT.

I don't wear eye makeup like a YouTuber at 64 so my needs are quite different than younger women.

I want matte - I'm a huge MAC Omega fan - and soft with as little fallout as possible. Not creating a "look" except "not tired."

Enough color choice here to say, "I think …
