Crème - theBalm Cosmetics - TimeBalm Foundation

Another surprise hit from Thebalm! I love the timebalm concealer in lighter than light (reviewed separately) but thought, I draw the line at a cream foundation. The packaging of both products, both the box and the cheap plastic container, are off putting to me. I only bought the concealer as it was recommended - I bought it just to see - ended up loving it. So eventually, I decided to do the same …Read more

Bronzers - Vita Liberata - BODY BLUR Instant HD Skin Finish 24 HR Wear

I bought this in cafe creme (the lightest shade) and latte (the medium shade). Cafe creme is surprisingly pale and I assume it's designed for palest redheads to get a realistic tan. So for that it truly is enterprising as I don't think I've ever seen that before! And let me tell you it is such a delicate hint of 'bonne mine' that even a translucently pale ginger person …Read more

Lipstick - MAC Cosmetics - Cremesheen Lipstick - Fanfare

Maybe it's because I normally don't buy cremesheen formula but I've never had a MAC lipstick go so waxy and unpleasant to apply, after just a year! I have over a hundred lipsticks so it's not unknown for me to forget about a lipstick for a year and then use it. With MAC especially, this has never been an issue. This lipstick is a boring basic b- shade: it's a girly pink …Read more

Concealers - theBalm Cosmetics - TimeBalm Concealer

I must say this is a hidden gem surprise! It has great coverage, and I like the fact that it comes in cool toned pinky shades. It leaves a very natural non cakey finish. I only need a thin layer and "lighter than light" suits my skin exactly. I am not the palest so the name is slightly over exaggerated.

I do agree the packaging is flimsy but I keep mine in a cabinet and so …

Brows - theBalm Cosmetics - Brow Pow Eyebrow Powder

I've realised that my favourite powder is Billion Dollar Brows in Taupe. I'm kicking myself as I could have bought another bdb for a great price but decided that since I'd just bought this Thebalm powder in both "blonde" and "dark brown", I didn't need another bdb one even though it was a steal. I've been on a self imposed low buy and I thought, a …Read more

Blush - MILANI - Baked Blush - Corallina

I absolutely love luminoso so I decided to try this one next. I do think all of these blushers are excellent quality, they are made in Italy on terracotta tiles, and last forever.

Indeed I very often pick luminoso over more expensive blushers because I love the smooth application...but anyway... I've not actually made a review on luminoso; it gets so much acclaim that why add …

Palettes - GUERLAIN - Electric Eyeshadow and Highlighter Palette

This is my favourite palette I've ever owned. It gives so much joy. I have been a makeup enthusiast (some might say addict) for nearly 20 years (gasp). Ever since I was a teenager I'd collect makeup. Two years ago I finally decided that's it, I have every colour known to man, I need to stop! Well I shan't say I actually stopped, but there was a definite slow down. Which is …Read more

I don't understand what others are seeing? I always agree with Temptalia so I'm especially baffled with her awarding it glowing scores, as well as the over 80% rating here. To me, this isn't even a glowy blusher let alone a highlighter. It's a very dull glow and it's terribly chalky powdery (like most of thebalm stuff I've tried if not all, it kicks up tons of …Read more

I used to use this in my 20s now and again and always liked it but ELDW was my favourite. Well I saw this on offer and for nostalgia's sake I bought it. I bought the same colour as I'd used before - Fairly Light. I don't know if the colour has changed or it's all down to me not being 20 anymore (sad) but it adds ten years to my face! Every time I use this, my confidence is …Read more

I saw lisalisaD1 do a video with this [NB the one I'm reviewing has a flip top cap tube packaging so I'm not sure if it's the same one? This is the current elf bb cream spf20] so when I happened to see it at tkmaxx I grabbed it in Fair. I was sure it'd be too dark and probably not great, but it was £2.99 so worth a shot.

As soon as I tried it I gasped: this was …
