Cire Trudon candles have created something of a stir on various internet frangrance boards. Presented in a hand-blown, italian made green glass container with a rather regal looking gold label on the front (unfortunately not stuck on straight), it's certainly a winner in the looks department. I have tried a number of these candles and have to say, I was not over the moon with the fragrance …Read more
I bought a selection of Claus Porto candles direct from the company as they were offering free shipping if you spent above a certain amount. Unfortunately I had not smelled this one prior to purchase. What a mistake. This candle has the most revolting, sickening smell. I should have known that the combination of lavender, iris, chamomile, linden blossom, cypress, rosemary and thyme would be a …Read more
I read a glowing review of this Acacia Tuberose candle on another website. I love the scent of tuberose, so I bought one for myself by mail order directly from Claus Porto without sampling it first. I have to say that I am very disappointed with this candle. It has very little fragrance and no throw whatsoever.
Claus Porto produce some excellent fragranced candles. Unfortunately this is not one of them. Condessa is supposed to smell of wild pansy. To me it has a rather cheap, astringent floral smell which I'm sorry to say is verging on the scent of lavatory cleaning products. I won't buy this again but it has not deterred me from trying some of their other candles.

Very bright fruity guava and currant scented candle. It is very generously fragranced and the smell diffuses well when lit. This is very much a "mood" fragrance. I like to burn mine in the morning as that is the time of day this fragrance seems to suit.
I had a few problems with this Rodolfo candle. When lit, only the middle 1/3rd of the surface of the wax melted, leaving a wide rim of wax unburned. I think that was because the wick was too slender for candle. I replaced the wick (a messy process) with a thicker wick from my own supplies, which has solved that particular problem. I have used about half the candle so far and I have noticed a …Read more
After reading all the positive reviews of this candle on MUA I ended up buying one of these on line without smelling it first. Unfortunately, the one I recieved was very weakly fragranced. Even after it was burning for 3 hours there was barely any discernable scent in the room.
