Cleansers - TATCHA - Indigo Soothing Rice Enzyme Powder

For comparison's sake, I am in my late 40's and have *extremely* sensitive, easily irritated, dry skin. I also have rosacea (fun!). The vast majority of skin care products turn my face fire engine red with tiny little inflammation bumps, so please feel free to take my review with a grain of salt. If you have skin like mine, however, read on and approach this product with …Read more

Moisturizers - Drunk Elephant - Protini Polypeptide Cream

For skin/face comparison's sake: I have middle aged, dry, extremely sensitive skin and a long history of rosacea and peri-oral dermatitis. On a bad day, even plain warm water on a wash cloth is enough to turn me into a flaky, red tomato covered in tiny red bumps.

Drunk Elephant's press makes a big deal about eliminating the "suspicious 6", common skin care …

This is a oil based cleansing balm, intended to be used on dry skin, to emulsify make up and physical sunscreen, and then rinsed off. I won't go into the details of the product, as the first reviewer did a fabulous job describing it.

Treatments (Face) - Paula's Choice - RESIST Daily Smoothing Treatment 5% AHA

I really, really wanted to like this exfoliating treatment lotion from the Resist Line, but when used as directed, it resulted in dry, inflamed, and positively irritated skin. I should begin by saying that I have extremely sensitive skin (mild rosacea) that reacts negatively to more ingredients and agents than I can count. That being said, however, I can use Paula's Choice straight 2% BHA …Read more

Cleansers - Neutrogena - All-In-One Makeup Removing Cleansing Wipes

Let me begin by saying I have ridiculously sensitive skin. My experience may not reflect the product itself, but it may be indicative of whether or not this product is suitable for those of us who are easily irritated.

This is a very convenient wipe for removing make up and it really does do the trick. As others have said, it leaves an oily residue (which is probably the castor oil) …

Let me preface this entire review by stating outright that I have ridiculously sensitive skin. Just about every single skin care product makes my facial skin red and rough, leaving me with stinging red bumps (not acne). I am down to washing my face simply with warm water on a Jane Iredale microfiber washcloth. Unfortunately, I often end up with a dire need for exfoliation, which is a problem …Read more

Let me preface my review by stating right off the bat that I have very dry, delicate facial skin and have had rosacea my entire adult life. My face is seriously sensitive to chemicals, fragrance, essential oils, etc. You get the picture. I was intrigued by the Mia because I am always looking for a great, gentle exfoliant without harsh chemicals or scratchy grains. My skin looks best when I …Read more

I don't really care to weigh in on the organic/petro-chemical debate. I have ridiculously reactive, sensitive skin and whatever I can find to wash and moisturize my face that doesn't set off a chain reaction of horrible red, angry, stinging bumps, I will use. I have had terrible reactions to natural products in the same way I have had terrible reactions to chemicals and processed …Read more

Let me preface my review by stating right off the bat that I have ridiculously sensitive skin. Some days, even water on a soft washcloth is enough to leave my face beet red, stinging, with little angry red bumps (not acne). Finding products to use on my face is tremendously difficult.

I, too, got a jar of this as part of the cosmetics lawsuit settlement. Let me preface this review by stating that I have terribly sensitive, easily irritated skin. Some days my skin reacts to nothing more than water on a soft washcloth and I end up with beet red cheeks and little angry bumps everywhere. Thankfully, however, I am not prone to acne (small favors) and often have dry patches in …Read more
