Skincare - Face - Stridex - Triple Action Pads, Alcohol Free

4.0

I used to use this on my face, but it is way too drying. I hate that this contains menthol, it’s completely useless and just causes dryness and irritation. I would love to be able to use this on my face, but I still repurchase this regularly for other things.

I like how convenient the pads are, and there is a ton of liquid in the container so the pads are totally saturated and there …

Toners - Pixi - Glow Tonic

4.0

I have been using a retinoid for a year now, and it has cleared most of my acne but I was still getting breakouts more often than I was ok with. I decided to try incorporating an AHA in my routine so I bought a sample of Glow Tonic.

I was skeptical of all the hype around this product, but it definitely performs well for me. The first few times I used this before bed, I noticed a …

Hair Treatments - Unlisted Brand - R+Co Acid Wash ACV Cleansing Rinse

5.0

I got a sample of this as a gift and unfortunately, I love it. I don’t know if I will ever be able to justify spending the money on a full size but I have really enjoyed using it. I use this in between shampoos, usually after working out to get my hair clean without stripping it. I use this only on my roots and it actually makes my hair feel very clean and shiny. I love the smell, it does have a …Read more

Treatments (Face) - DIFFERIN - Acne Treatment Gel

5.0

I have been using Differin for about 8 months now. My skin is more clear now than I ever imagined was possible. I have had pretty nasty acne since about age 11. Before using Differin, I was able to get a lot of the acne under control by improving my skincare routine, but after the only AHA product that worked for me was discontinued, there was not a single product out there that could battle the …Read more

Cleansers - BIODERMA - Sensibio H2O Micellar Cleansing Water and Makeup Remover Solution

5.0

Pros:
- Very gentle on the eyes. Almost every micellar water makes my eyes sting, and the few that don’t sting are not very effective at removing mascara. Bioderma gets my mascara off with less rubbing and no eye irritation.
- It wipes off every trace of mascara. I’ve never been able to use a makeup remover that was effective enough to do this. For my whole life I’ve woken up in the …

Skincare - Face - Mario Badescu - Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs, and Rosewater

1.0

This is the first and last Mario Badescu product I’ve ever tried. First of all, the packaging of this looks and feels like garbage. It’s so cheap and ugly, and the spray nozzle is dollar-store quality. Ordinarily this is not an issue for me, but this product is EXPENSIVE for what it is—can’t they at least package it nicely for that price?

Performance-wise, this stuff is like spraying …

Toners - Thayers - Witch Hazel Alcohol-Free Toner - Rose Petal

2.0

I fell for the hype and bought a sample size of this toner. Unfortunately, it made absolutely no difference in my skin. It did not improve acne or make my skin “glow.” I tried using this for several weeks, putting it in a different place in my routine and even using it twice a day at one point, but it never did anything for me. I feel like most of the glowing reviews for this product are probably …Read more

Moisturizers - First Aid Beauty - Ultra Repair Cream

2.0

This cream is really overpriced for what it is. I first tried using it as a facial moisturizer, but the essential oils in it burned the hell out of my skin. I used up the rest of it as a body cream and it was just so-so. Certainly not worth the price.

Eye Makeup Remover - Equate - Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes (Compare to Neutrogena)

1.0
Created with Sketch.

My eyes are sensitive to most makeup removers and these wipes are no exception. I was hoping these would be a cheaper alternative to the Neutrogena wipes. They perform similarly to the Neutrogena wipes but the texture is a bit more abrasive and it feels like the surfectants in them are harsher and leave more residue. Most importantly, they caused painful burning in my eyes even when I wasn’t …Read more

Cleansers - CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser - Normal to Dry Skin

5.0

This cleanser is the BEST. It really gets everything off your face without drying out your skin. It doesn’t irritate my eyes either.

This was my first experience using a ph-balanced cleanser and I saw a drastic reduction in acne/clogged pores within a week of using this. I have tested out a few different cleansers since then but none of them can stand up to this one. I would recommend …
