This is a godsend for people like me who often get puffy and swollen eyes.
There are so many reasons why my eyes go puffy and swollen. PMS, food, hot weather, flying, not sleeping well..the list goes on and on.
I usually rely on a cold gel pack from the freezer wrapped with a clean kitchen towel, which also works. Some people use cold sppons from the fridge.
But even with the cold …

Styling Products - L'Oreal Paris - Professional Tecni.Art Next Day Hair

The reason I bought this is my wish to have french-model-off-duty hair. I love a good bed head hair, which has a laid back and easy vibe.

Kind of hard to archieve when you have fine but many hair that tends to lie flat because of oily roots. Sounds funny, but I struggle with styling because my hair is too soft and healthy to hold any style. I had it cut to collarbone-lenght and sliced …

This is the no-frills-basic-yet-nothing-short-of-a-miracle moisturizer I´ve been searching for years.
A little background on my skin: My skin is basically combination in wintertime and oily in summertime and dehydrated all year round. On top of that it´s hypersensitive, has rosacea, seborrheic dermatitis and melasma.
I´ve been trying all the hyped "basic" and multipurpose …

Lipstick - MAC Cosmetics - Retro Matte Lipstick - Ruby Woo

Love, love, love this lipstick!
I´m 40 now and used this lipstick for years.
For reference: I´m a MAC NC 10-15/ BB warm ivory with pale skin and a warm undertone. I have amber eyes, black lashes and eyebrows and brown hair.
The paleness of my skin makes it hard for me to find a good red, because I don´t want to look like a clown with red lipstick. Many red lipsticks look too dark or too clownish on my lips.
But this is a beautiful, blue-based clear red on my lips, very vintage, very glamouros. The matte formula makes it look classy, old hollywood and never ever tacky or cheap and not too old-fashioned. Despite the vintage-retro feeling this lipstick has, it also manages to look very cool, fresh and modern at the same time. Very important as I don´t want a red …

I wore this scent years ago and rediscovered this perfume just in time for the beginning of autumn/wintertime.

Let me start by saying I mostly use unisex and masculine perfumes, because I have trouble to find a perfume that doesn´t smell overpoweringly sweet on my skin.

Finding a perfume that doesn´t give me a headache or develops horribly on my skin is also a …

Styling Products - Bumble and bumble - Thickening Dryspun Finish Spray

I was very excited to try this spray, but was sorely disappointed.

My hair is cut as a long bob with a longer front and sliced ends. I have fine straight hair, but an abundance of it. Unfortunately, my hair gets greasy at the roots and lacks volume in general.

I bought this spray to get volume in my hair and a tousled out-of-bed- look for my normally flat hair. I also wanted …

Fragrances - Acca Kappa - White Moss Eau de Toilette

This scent was my saviour when Clean decided to stop producing Clean Eau de Toilette.

As someone who has a very sensitive nose and gets a headache from almost every perfume, I struggle with finding a perfume so much that I thought about not using perfume anymore. Add the fact that my skin boosts any sweetness or fruitiness in a perfume to an extreme degree to the mix and you´ll get the …

Skincare - Face - No Brand (DIY or homemade) - Black Currant Seed Oil

This oil is one of the oils that is not as popular as rosehip oil for example but nevertheless worth having a look at it.

Right now this is the only carrier oil I can use on my problematic skin.

My skin is oily-to-combo with rosacea, seborrheic dermatitis (SD), hyperpigmentation, melasma, clog-prone and a tendency to dehydration and hormonal outbreaks. If I use the wrong …

Masks - SkinCeuticals - Clarifying Clay Mask

Among the thousands of clay masks, this is an exceptionally good one. For people like me with weird skin, this is a godsend.

My skin has almost all of the skin issues you can have: rosacea, seborrheic dermatitis, congested skin, blackheads, sebacous filaments, pigmentation, melasma and dehydration. Basically, it is hyper-sensitive combination skin with a drier t-zone. I break out …

Mascara - Max Factor - Masterpiece Waterproof

Honestly, this mascara was probably the worst mascara I ever tried.

I´m normally a huge fan of the Max Factor mascaras as they give you good value for money and perform better than the pricier high end mascaras.

The normal, not waterproof version of the Masterpiece mascara is one of my favourite mascaras and I used it exclusively for a long time. However, my eyes often …
