Hair Color - Ion - Color Brilliance - Semi-Permanent

I use the color Hot Red in this line to touch up a salon semi permanent hair color job I had done. It comes out of the metal tube being way darker than it actually appears on my prelightened hair. I mix it in the shower with conditioner after shampooing and let it sit on my ends (where I have the color) for about 1-2 minutes, just enough to make them soft and have a brighter tone. I don't …Read more

Conditioner - Paul Mitchell - Awapuhi Wild Ginger Keratin Cream Rinse

I have fine-medium, color treated with a red ombre that required bleaching first, super straight hair. The ends of my hair are not super dead as I got them done by a professional who knows her stuff but they are a lot more dry. This brings lost keratin to my hair without making my hair feel overly dry or brittle the way some people's hair can react to keratin based products. I do mix this …Read more

Cleansers - L'Oreal Paris - Pure Clay Detoxifying + Brightening Charcoal Gel Wash

Got the one pictured here. Charcoal is always so good for oily, sensitive, acne-prone skin like myself. It's a thick mud consistency that doesn't foam at all. I wouldn't suggest this for dry skin as my oily skin needs moisturizer to even it out, so I can imagine dry skin would be parched after using this. It doesn't clear up my skin or claim to, just gently cleans my excess …Read more

Makes my own hair dry which is color treated and combination oily at the root, dry on at the ends. It also strips my beautiful salon color. It works great on my 8 year old beagle and makes his fur so cuddly/soft. For such a big bottle at least there is a good use for it.

Styling Products - TRESemmé - Tres Two Ultra Fine Mist Hairspray

Fine mist light hold hairspray is a must for me. I was using a Kenra one before and decided to go cheap when I ran out. I recently got bangs and this holds them in place without being crunchy at all. I only wash my hair once a week and I can use this daily to maintain my new bangs and my hair feels like it's the first time I ever sprayed it, no build up at all. I use this one to hold my …Read more

Shampoo - Ion - Purifying Solutions Hard Water Shampoo

Moved from a mountain region with mildly hard water to a big city with water so hard that my hair never looked clean unless I washed it twice a week max and used lots of dry shampoo. I could tell that even with washing leas frequently that my hair was so dirty yet dry underneath all of the dry shampoo to make it "appear clean". My hair is salon colored to be a light brunette with strong …Read more

I have disgustingly hard water in my apartment that was making my thick, pin straight ends super brittle. I only wash my hair once a week and change out products when I run out. I strictly use hair masques as I feel like regular conditioners do nothing for me and if I only wash my hair once a week I might as well give it everything it needs. Judging by reviews I was worried this would make my …Read more

Foundations - L'Oreal Paris - Infallible Total Cover Foundation

$14 at Ulta, tax included. Claims to have a natural finish, 24 hour wear, high coverage and good for the face and body. I believe all of these claims are true except for the natural finish part. This is for sure like pancake makeup. The foundation is so thick that the hands is the best way to apply it because a sponge even damp or a brush won't blend it out properly while the hands melts it …Read more

Have used the Equate Beauty version of this from walmart so I wanted to give the real thing a try to see if it was any better. Pretty much gave the same results; rich lather with a washcloth, not irritating and neither moisturizing nor drying. As simple as you can get for a body wash. Will be going back to my Equate Beauty version as it's $3 and some change where as Aveeno is almost $10.

My hair is color treated. A 6N with a 6R demi gloss to give me a red hue in the sun. I only wash my hair once a week. I always use a hair masque in place of conditioner. I've used the smoothing treat with avocado extract a long time ago and loved that for when I lived in Alaska and my hair was always frizzy from the salty sea air (lived in a port city). Now that I live in Texas where …Read more
