I bought this as a moisturizing toner. What I wasn't expecting was something that would help keep my oily skin matte for almost the entire day! I'm speculating that it's a benefit of the aloe. After cleansing and applying this toner, I finish with Simple Ultra-Light Gel Moisturizer and then apply makeup as usual. My makeup has not been sliding off my t-zone and I don't even …Read more
I'm absolutely baffled by the good reviews. I must've gotten a bad batch, because from day one my Blackest Black eyeliner has been a watery grey. I am not exaggerating when I say that it is translucent like a water color. I did give an extra point because I think the felt nib is well shaped and pointed.
I bought these at Don Quixote (in Hawaii) for $.99. I really balk at spending $15 on false lashes and then trimming them (which I have to do) but these are so cheap I'm not worried about botching a few pairs. I like to trim my lashes down to demis to emphasis a cat eye look. They're also less of a hassle to apply when they're that short, and they don't become unglued. With …Read more
I tried this, then Shiseido Pureness Matifying Moisturizer Oil-Free, and decided that for my oily skin, Estee Lauder was the better of the two. It doesn't totally prevent oiliness, but it helps diffuse it so I look a bit glowy before I turn shiny, and that's a big plus. I really like how light-weight it is, and it absorbs very quickly so i can move straight on to my makeup.
This was the first silica powder I tried. Then I tried some of the more expensive stuff (MAC Prep + Prime Finishing Powder. MUFE HD Microfinish Powder.) This is just as good or better, and much less expensive. Take that money you were going to spend, and just stock up. That's my plan.
I really couldn't decide If I should rate this a 1 or a 2. I erred up to a two because if you have really fantastic well balanced skin, this could work for you. First, I found it difficult to apply. I tried the 187 stippling, and a kabuki brush. The application wasn't very easy with either of these, but the kabuki compounds the difficulty because it's hard to get it onto the …Read more
I got this free as an Estee Lauder gift, and I'm quite thankful it was free. While it didn't irritate my eyes, I found it only marginally more effective than regular old soap and water. It seems to move mascara off my eyelashes and firmly onto the skin under my eyes. If I hadn't run out of jojoba oil, I never would have resorted to this stuff.
