Masks - My Beauty Diary - Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Mask

4.0

Aug/15/2015

I think this is of the very few skincare products that I have tried where I can see an instantaneous effect, and further yet still see the effect 12 hours later. I have dehydrated normal-to-dry skin and I find this really plumps up my skin and reduces the visibility of fine lines.

I used this mask after I washed my face and patted it dry. I put the mask on for 20 minutes. One of the …

Treatments (Eye) - benefit Cosmetics - It's Potent! Eye Cream

2.0
Created with Sketch.

Aug/15/2015

I have incredibly dry and dehydrated eyelids. Unfortunately, this was not moisturizing enough for me. It has a very thin lotion-like consistency and I wouldn't think to call it a "cream" personally. It did not do anything, even temporarily, for the appearance of my fine lines or dark undereye circle. It absorbs quickly which is the only positive I can think of. …Read more

Treatments (Face) - Unlisted Brand - Nexcare Acne Absorbing Cover

3.0
Created with Sketch.

Aug/15/2015

I found these effective on whiteheads that have already popped, or after lancing/needling. They do not have a discernible effect on other pimples or in the earlier stages, which is mainly what I had wanted to use them for. Part of the advertising description is that Nexcare "Acts as a protective cover, reducing the urge to squeeze," however this makes no sense when it is necessary for …Read more

Cleansers - BIODERMA - Sebium H2O Micellar Water

3.0
Created with Sketch.

Aug/14/2015

Aside from the scent, I find Bioderma Sebium works very similarly to Sensibio (formerly Crealine, the one in the pink bottle). Sebium has a light floral scent that is completely unnecessary. Otherwise, I have copied and pasted my review for Bioderma Sensibio below since everything I said applies:

I have dehydrated normal-to-dry skin and I do not use any waterproof makeup. I find this …

Cleansers - BIODERMA - Sensibio H2O Micellar Cleansing Water and Makeup Remover Solution

4.0

Aug/14/2015

I have dehydrated normal-to-dry skin and I do not use any waterproof makeup. I find this works very well at removing makeup. It's very convenient that it is rinse-free as well, and is easy to use for spot touch-ups if I've messed up my eyeliner, for example.

I find it comparable in performance to Lancome Bi-Facil eye makeup remover however Bioderma does not leave that slight …

Shampoo - Suave - Professionals Rosemary Mint Shampoo

3.0
Created with Sketch.

Aug/14/2015

I have straight virgin Asian hair that is on the oily and flat side. I'm not too particular about shampoo and usually will use whatever is around without any complaints, and this is no exception. It smells like you would expect from the name, although in my opinion slightly more minty than rosemary. It leaves my hair feeling squeaky clean, even a little bit on the dry side. I thought it …Read more

Treatments (Face) - MISSHA - Time Revolution First Treatment Essence

3.0
Created with Sketch.

Aug/14/2015

I have dehydrated normal-to-dry skin and I found this product made my skin feel very (uncomfortably) tight. I had to use about twice the amount of moisturizer I normally use in order to achieve the same results. When I woke up the next morning I also found my skin to be uncomfortably tight.

I only used the product for about a week before giving up on it so I'm not sure that would …

Moisturizers - Embryolisse - Lait-Crème Concentrè (24-Hour Miracle Cream)

3.0
Created with Sketch.

Aug/14/2015

I have dehydrated normal-to-dry skin and I found Embryolisse 24-hour miracle cream an adequate moisturizer. I tried a sample of this product over the course of a week. It is thinner in consistency than more readily available American creams such as Cetaphil and CeraVe's moisturizing creams but thicker than a regular lotion. It is fairly moisturizing, about on par with Cetaphil but not quite …Read more

Treatments (Eye) - CeraVe - Eye Repair Cream

2.0
Created with Sketch.

Aug/07/2015

I have incredibly dry and dehydrated eyelids. Unfortunately, this was not moisturizing enough for me. I found it less hydrating than either Cetaphil or CeraVe creams. It does feel very silky to apply, but that is the only benefit I can think of.

I didn't notice any improvement in the puffiness of my eye area or my undereye circles. The only change I saw from using this was my …

Sunscreen - HADA LABO - UV Creamy Gel SPF 50 +

4.0
Created with Sketch.

May/30/2015

Note: Ratzilla mentioned that this was discontinued and is being replaced by Hada Labo Koi Gokujyun Perfect UV Gel. I've heard the ingredients are the same and the order is the same with the only exception being silica is now hydrated silica. I'm hoping this the replacement is just as good, if not better.

For reference, I have dehydrated-normal skin. This is the first Asian …
