I am 54 years old with great skin (see my pics). I was previously using Revlon Prep and Protect as my primer, but just found it a bit too tacky feeling for my liking. I changed over to the Maybelline recently as I wanted a product that would go well with my Zinc based foundation Invisible Zinc Sheer Defence in Light SPF50+.

The product itself is clear in colour and has a very slippery …

I love this!!!!! I was so disappointed when they discontinued the Anti Wrinkle Deep Wrinkle Serum because I had used it religiously for a few years. None of their current range even got close to it. Then along comes the Retinol Oil. This is very similar in the way it looks and feels. It is extremely gentle on the skin and causes no irritation at all. The one drawback on this product is that the …Read more

Concealers - IT Cosmetics - Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer

I purchased this in "Fair". I am 53 with really good skin and this is advertised as full coverage, anti aging. It comes in a narrow tube with a tiny opening. The product itself is very thick, so even squeezing it out of the tube is problematic. The product is sticky, thick and tacky. i found it impossible to apply without pulling on the skin around the eye. It doesn't blend well. I …Read more

Where do I even start with this terrible product? I am 53 years old and have really good skin, so I know it wasn't my skin that was causing the problems with this CC cream. This was probably the product I was most excited to try as it claims to be a primer, sunscreen, full cover foundation, etc... I purchased this in "Fair" and luckily I purchased a sample size because if I had …Read more

I only wear powder foundation. I purchased this in the colour "Fair-Light" based on many reviews on the internet. It was not cheap in Australia at $50, so I did not purchase this on a whim. I would describe the container as similar to cushion foundations. It has the sifter in the middle and part of the lid fits firmly on the sifter part in the base. How I use it is to tap and swirl my …Read more

Where has this product been hiding???? It is the best primer I have ever used! I purchased this In Chemist Warehouse for $25 Australian. The claims for this product are as follows:

"A longwear primer with a 3-in-1 solution that moisturizes, primes and protects. SPF 25 protects against harmful UV rays, without looking chalky or leaving an ashy cast. With a 24 hour wear, it delivers a …

Fragrances - Thierry Mugler - Alien Eau de Parfum

I am very simple when it comes to fragrance and rarely change from a couple of favourites. I was running low on perfume and my husband wanted to buy me some for Mothers Day. The assistant in Priceline told us that Alien was so popular that they could barely keep it on the shelf. There was one bottle left and after trying the tester, I could see why this was so popular. I am not good at describing …Read more

The first thing that strikes you about this concealer is the size. It is the same size as your average foundation bottle, so that's pretty amazing. It cost me $41 Australian. I purchased this in the colour "snow" as I have very pale skin.

Anyway, as a concealer it's good, not amazing. I do not think this would work very well as a highlighter and I have not used it …

I recently returned to this product on a whim as I was using La Roche Posay Toleriane and felt that this offered much of the same promises. I purchased the German formulation in the metal tin. I use it at night by applying it over Rosehip Oil. I start by cleansing my face and leaving it slightly damp. I then apply a few drops of Rosehip Oil and allow that to settle for about 5 minutes. After this …Read more

I have a real thing for retro fragrances and this is my favourite of all of them. Legend has it that it was considered the "the Genghis Khan" of orientals and was designed as a perfume that prostitutes would wear .It was the inspiration for the later orientals, Tuvara (1948) and Youth Dew (1951). I find a little goes a very long way. If you use a heavy hand, it is quite overpowering …Read more
