Cleansers - Garnier - SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water

This is a GAME-CHANGER. I recommend it to all my friends because it saves me time, money and energy. It's an HG product that I hope will never be discontinued!

It's cheap. It's about $7 or $8 at Walmart, which is comparable to the price of a 30 or so package of makeup-removing towelettes but you're getting waaay more uses. A little goes a long way. Typically, I use …

Top/Base Coats - Seche - Dry Fast Top Coat

5.0

This is the best top coat that I’ve used! I bought the mini version for $2.50 CAN at Sally’s. It dries SUPER quickly - a thick coat can dry within a couple of minutes. It makes my nails look so glossy, everyone thinks I’m wearing a gel polish but it’s just a regular polish with this top coat! I’ve worn this by itself in between manis to make my nails look shiny and plump. Best top coat ever, I …Read more

Deodorants - LUSH - Aromaco Deodorant

There’s a lot of good things. It’s cheap at about $3.50 CAN per 50 g (comparable to drugstore deodorants and anti-perspirants), long-lasting, natural and safe ingredients, etc. However, there’s a big, fat issue with Aromaco… it’s the smell.

At the LUSH store, the deodorant smelled like nothing to me. I believe there were 3 types of deodorants but I chose Aromaco because it smelled the …

Treatments (Face) - Boscia - Exfoliating Peel Gel

This product is a waste of time, money and energy. I purchased it for about $45 CAN (expensive) at Sephora. I tried the product at the store and, like many, was in awe at seeing "my skin peeling away". At home, I'd apply a small amount onto my skin and start running. Immediately, I realize that this "gel" turns into a liquid quickly and starts dripping. My skin appears to …Read more

Powder - Tarte Cosmetics - Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Airbrush Foundation Powder

This is my HG foundation. I purchased this for about $50 CAN at Sephora, which is expensive but it's worth it. I wear the shade, "Tan Sand". My skin type is oily with pigmentation and scarring from years of acne. I wear makeup daily, whether it's for work, school, etc. This foundation conceals my skin's uneven tone and absorbs oil, leaving me with a beautiful …Read more

Nails - Unlisted Brand - gel FANTASY Nails by KISS

KISS makes my favourite false nails! I've been using acrylics and gels from the salon for years, but it's too expensive, plus I get bored with the colours and designs quickly. KISS's Gel Fantasy Nails are perfect for me. They are cheap, I can buy a set for about $9 CAN at Walmart compared to about $25 MINIMUM at the salon for a set of acrylics! The colours are beautiful, they have …Read more

Top/Base Coats - Essie - Gel Setter Top Coat

2.0

It is a good top coat. It's not too thin, not too thick. It gives my nails a glossy, gel-like finish. The only thing is that the nail brush is BAD. It's so thin and flimsy, I wouldn't repurchase this product solely for this reason. It picks up only a small amount of product, so by the time I'm done applying the coat to my nails, I end up with a streaky mess. If Essie had a …Read more

Treatments - OPI - Nail Envy - Original

This product has saved my nails so many times. I've been abusing my nails for years - acrylics, gels, etc. Whenever I remove my acrylics or gels, I have brittle, peeling nails that look not only bad but hurt. I use OPI Nail Envy to restore my nails. It's expensive, about $15 CAN at Sally's Beauty Supply but I'm sure it can be purchased for cheaper elsewhere. I apply about 2 …Read more

Shampoo - Unlisted Brand - Nizoral AD Shampoo

This product saved my scalp. For years, I've suffered from seborrheic dermatitis. Without any treatment, my scalp looks dry and scaly. I've used all of the anti-dandruff shampoos, including all of the "Clinical" and "Extra-Strengths". I used prescription stuff. Nothing helped! I would apply moisturizer so my scalp would look normal.
I found the 60 mL at my …

I purchased the mini version of the product at Sally's for $10 CAN. The "Dark Brown" matched perfectly to my hair colour. There's a learning curve to using the product correctly. I tilt the container to the side (not upside-down) and tap gently. Once I add the powder, I pat the area softly to disperse the fibres. The last thing is spraying with a hair spray (I only use the …Read more
