Moisturizers - Olay - Total Effects 7-In-One Anti-Aging Face Moisturizer - Fragrance-Free

I have combination skin, and while this moisturiser fulfils the basic task of preventing the dry parts of my face from dehydrating, but the oily parts of my face broke out over a week's use of the product. I should have realised something was wrong when the product immediately formed a layer of oil over my skin upon application. The hot and humid climate of Singapore made matters worse. I …Read more

Moisturizers - Neutrogena - Oil-Free Moisture - Combination Skin

I used this moisturiser in combination with the Neutrogena Deep Cleansing Gentle Scrub, so your results may vary otherwise. It restored my skin after the scrub dried out my skin during one period of use. There's little to condemn or praise about this moisturiser. It certainly protects my skin from drying up in air-conditioned environments, and so far I haven't found it dribbling down my …Read more

Scrubs - Neutrogena - Deep Clean Gentle Scrub

I tested this over a 2 week period, twice daily except for one or two days, making notes every time I used it. Each scrub lasted 2 minutes and covered all areas of the face for an equal duration. By the end of the first week of use, two consistent observations could be made: It helped smooth out my skin and unclogged my pores, and there was certainly some removal of blackheads, but blemishes and …Read more

Lip Treatments - The Body Shop - Lip Butter - Brazil Nut

If your idea of fun is opening a miniature tub of what appears to be pistachio ice cream, and dipping your finger into it, then smearing your lips with the cream, only to find that the lip butter is grainy and oily (but smells great), and then licking every bit of it off your lips just to find it tasteless (but smelling great), and then repeating the process again just to smell more of it... if …Read more

Shampoo - The Body Shop - Tea Tree Oil Shampoo

This shampoo made my scalp tingle, and at first I thought it was getting the dead and dry skin off or something. Perhaps it did, but my dandruff problem remained, and sometimes flared up as well.

The smell didn't agree with me either, but it was not unpleasant.

By far the worse thing about the product was the packaging. The plastic cap, which opens up on a flexible …

Gels/ Soaps - Neutrogena - Rainbath Refreshing Shower & Bath Gel

4.0

Aug/13/2005

This was a rather effective shower gel that left me feeling clean and fresh. And I was using this while in the army, which is testament to its efficacy.

The only complaint I have is the smell. It's not unpleasant, but it leaves something to be desired. It's not chemical, but it smells a little herbal in an odd way.

I would buy it again, if only because I …

Cleansers - Cetaphil - Gentle Skin Cleanser

A very gentle cleanser, whose only fault may lie in that it is far too gentle. However, if one were to judge products based on whether they fulfill their promises, then Cetaphil surely deserves recoqnition.

I have oily skin (with a slightly dry zone between the eyebrows) and living in the humid tropics has only made it more oily. Cetaphil does a good job of removing the oil, although I …
