Skincare - Face - No Brand (DIY or homemade) - Rosehip Seed Oil

TLDR: Holy MOLY this stuff worked wonders for my poor sensitive, dry winter skin. No bad things to say! 10/10 would recommend.

Context: My skin is dry, VERY dry during the winter, to the point where makeup will go on patchy and accentuate the appearance of scaly flakes on my cheeks and chin especially.

BUT my skin is also sensitive to breakouts and irritation. So what happens …

Treatments (Eye) - Glow Recipe - Avocado Melt Retinol Eye Sleeping Mask

TLDR: This is nice for decreasing puffiness almost instantly, though I haven’t seen much improvement in dark circles after using for two weeks. I’d recommend a test patch if you have sensitive skin, it can make my undereyes sensitive (e.g. rubbing with makeup wipes kind of stings).

My husband and I tend to keep tired, tired eyes - dark circles, kind of puffy, especially in the morning …

Cleansers - La Mer - The Cleansing Foam

TLDR: This cleanser is OK, but at this price point OK doesn’t cut it for me personally. I have other, cheaper cleansers that outperform this one, thus I will probably not repurchase.

I have mixed feelings about this cleanser. On one hand, it goes a long way - a pea size dollop foams up nicely. It feels very good massaging into the skin and rinses off clean with no lingering residue. My …

Moisturizers - La Mer - Creme de la Mer The Moisturizing Creme

TLDR: Looks and feels good on my dry acne-prone skin. After using for 3 weeks, my skin texture has improved, though I do wish the formula was just a little more moisturizing. Glad I got to try it and form my own opinion, and I’d recommend anyone to do the same!

As a former Isotretinoin user, my skin tends to be pretty dry but also prone to clogged pores with the wrong skin care. For a …

Treatments (Face) - La Mer - The Concentrate

TLDR: Improved the texture of my skin, helps minimize and keep my pores clean, especially the problematic ones on my nose. Can be slightly drying so moisturize generously if your skin is dry like mine.

So as a former isotretinoin (Accutane/Absorica) user, I am very dry but still prone to breakouts from beauty products. Naturally, it’s difficult for me to find a skin routine that hydrates …

Fragrances - Gres - Cabochard

TLDR: A nice warm, dry chypre for the price! Unisex and layers well with other fragrances.

I recently purchased the EDP expecting it to be a nice leather fragrance. I get no leather at all, though I don’t know if it’s because the current formulation is without or if I am just spoiled to Tuscan Leather. I’m keeping it anyway because frankly I’m addicted at this point :-)

The …

Fragrances - Prada - Candy Eau de Parfum

That girl who wore that sugary cotton candy body spray in middle school and got Vanilla Bean Noel in her stocking every Christmas grew up into a beautiful and financially stable woman, and she probably smells like this.

This is a warm, comfortable toasted caramel with a dry down that has just the right touch of musk to feel clean and sophisticated. I like it alone or to sweeten other …

Styling Products - Davines - OI / All in One Milk

TLDR: On my second bottle. It smells really good, detangles without feeling slimy or heavy, and doesn’t irritate or break out my sensitive skin as many hair products can.

I’ve used It’s a 10 Miracle Leave-In for years and I could always tell when I used it and when I hadn’t. My hairdresser spritzed this in my hair as a leave-in detangler/heat protectant when I told her I dealt with …

Fragrances - LUSH - Vanillary

I originally had this in the spray but have since purchased the solid since it seems to have more oil content (and since the spray has a very alcoholic formula). This can be worn alone as a simple and pure, toasted-sugary vanilla fragrance, but my goal is to use it as a base to soften/sweeten other perfumes. I love it paired with a musky or peppery fragrance, like a little dash of vanilla to warm …Read more

Other - St. Tropez - Tan Remover Prep and Maintain

4.0

TLDR: I like this for removal of the remnants of an old tan before you apply a fresh one. For some reason it can tingle/sting a little sometimes so you might want to do a test patch before applying all over, especially if you have sensitive skin.

I wanted something I could use over large areas to remove old, leftover tan before I applied a new one. I’d already purchased the St. Tropez …
