Cleansers - CLINIQUE - Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm

On my second tub.

I do now perform a 2-step cleanse (or double cleanse) in the evenings. I want to get off all my makeup and then cleanse my skin with something gentle. With most eye makeup removers, I get the majority off, but still end up with a little bit of smudged leftovers. I've also read about how sunscreen can be a bit difficult to get off (chemically speaking) and having …

I have purchased 002-Bulletproof Beige and love it. Will buy more but when then come on sale: I got mine for about $4 CAD but the regular price is about $7-$9 and I love a deal.

The colour creates a light wash of dewiness, which I love. I'm searching for a very natural but radiant look, the kind of look Gillian Anderson pulled off in 'The Fall' using a Dior eyeshadow …

I had read so much about people liking this (all the backstage secrets kind of articles, how this is used at runway shows and is a great base), but also reviews about how it might be too rich. After requesting a tube from my brother when he was traveling in France, I was excited to try it myself - and after overcoming some nervousness about possible breaking out, I'm very happy with it. I …Read more

Even though I struggle with a bit of oiliness in the t-zone and a bit of hormonal breakouts (mainly along the jawline, I don't take oral birth control), I realized that I actually need a bit more moisture to keep my skin balanced and fresh as I get older. I favour Caroline Hiron's thinking in that I spend $$$ on targeted treatments like serums and less on the moisturizer which is a …Read more

Moisturizers - Unlisted Brand - Hydra-Filler Pro-youth boosting moisturizer

I got a deluxe sample of this cream, used it for almost 3 weeks. No terrible break outs, and it was moisturizing - although I applied it liberally so if you use less, I don't know if I would have liked it as much. I am 39, still balancing breakouts and now battling fine lines and dryness in the winter. Since it was free, I used it all up. Not too heavy, which was nice: in desperate winter …Read more

Okay, I'm not proud of liking this lipliner because:
-it's hella expensive
-the colour isn't a big standout, very close to my natural tone (I often think 'why am I putting this on?')
-very soft and will require a lot of sharpening and the product will go faster

BUT I love this lipliner. Because:
-it's so close to my natural colour but …

I have nothing bad to say about this blush - except it was hard to find for so long!

I want a blush that looks like a natural flush, but better. Lasting power and pigment is important: if it doesn't last until lunch, I'm unhappy. I did try Essence blushes, which aren't terrible, but the colour range was limited and they didn't last as well. I've never spent a …

I'll be the standout negative review - but hear me out: I tried this product twice, 6 months apart, because I WANTED it to work. The science sounded good, reviews were amazing - but the truth is we're not all going to have the same great experience. I have fallen in love with other NIOD/The Ordinary/Deciem products, but not this one.

I'm almost 39, my skin is still a …

I really wanted to love this eye creme (er, cream) as Caroline Hirons often raves about Tata's line of skincare, but it was very disappointing. For all the claims of diamond dust as illuminating effects, the cream itself is easy to over-apply and can end up looking like you applied an under-eye concealer a few shades too light for your skin tone. In fact, except for the fairest of skin …Read more

Bought it on sale after reading quite a few recommendations, it was worth $10 for a single try but I wont' repurchase for 2 reasons: difficult to apply and avoid clumping, and transfer to my undereye area during the day.Oh, and it takes a bit of work to remove.

1. Difficulty in applying: I found it very wet and hard to be careful when applying to prevent lashes clumping together …
