Was a lifesaver when I started using this sunscreen over a year ago, but The formula seems to have altered slightly (again!?) and now it leaves a whiter cast irritates my eyelid skin, causing them to itch and swell. I am not sure what ingredient is causing this reaction, but it sure is making me sad. :(

Treatments (Face) - Deciem - The Ordinary EUK 134 0.1%

Probably the most underrated product by The Ordinary, the EUK serum made a subtle but lasting difference in my skin. The formula is very thin - almost watery like a toner - and because it expires relatively quickly, I just slathered it on my face, hands, and neck daily. It subtly smoothed my skin texture and lightened dark spots leftover form old acne. My skin just felt a little more supple and …Read more

Moisturizers - Deciem - The Ordinary 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil

Another beloved product from The Ordinary that I may have sensitized myself to - The Ordinary Rosehip seed oil was for over a year my Ride-Or-Die facial oil. I loved that it was a dry, non-comodegenic oil loaded with vitamin A that sunk into skin quickly. I loved the natural rooty smell and I felt so crunchy-granola and lux at the same time when using it.

So what went wrong? Not only …

Masks - Deciem - The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution

I LOVE this product. This is by far my favorite Deciem offering - the cheap at-home professional facial. I gotta be real with you guys tho' - you need to be VERY careful with application and diligent about getting the formula off your face within 10 minutes or you could end up with some intense sensitization issues. In hindsight, I probably overused this - it should really only be used …Read more

Treatments (Face) - Deciem - The Ordinary Buffet

A lot of folks LOVE this one, but if you have issues with cystic acne, skip it. I used this for about a month and my cystic chin acne rebounded as soon as I added this to routine. I had no issues with the Hylamide Sub Q Anti-Age and I recommend that similar, yet superior product to acne sufferers.

Treatments (Face) - Deciem - The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%

I credit this product for helping to clear up a particularity nasty cystic acne breakout in the spring of 2017. I used this product religiously for months, but I may have developed a sensitivity to Niacinamide during my months of heavy heavy use. Some others have had issues with this product causing breakouts, so YMMV. Assuming I am not actually sensitive to niacinamide, I may give this product …Read more

Treatments (Face) - Deciem - Hylamide SubQ Anti-Age

I enjoyed Sub-Q Anti age - it was a substantial step up from the "buffet" - which had a few pore-clogging ingredients and broke me out. My skin felt plumped and healthy and application was smooth. It was a bit expensive and I started having some skin issues -- which is why I didn't repurchase at the time, but I may in the future, especially now that DECIEM hylamide is being pulled …Read more

Treatments (Eye) - CeraVe - Eye Repair Cream

Recommended by the dermatologist, I thought I would give this whirl and it worked GREAT for about 3 weeks, then like others, it was RASH TIME. I looked like some kind of demon raccoon. My skin was swollen, flaky and I could barely open my eyes. I don't know if something went "off" with the product in the 3 weeks that I had it but, oh god, after that last flare up this creme went …Read more

Moisturizers - CeraVe - Moisturizing Lotion - Normal to Dry Skin

Every dermatologist out there recommends CeraVe products. And I get it. This is a wonderful formula for the price point. Ceremides, glycerin and hyaluronic acid are all deeply nourishing for all skin types, especially the damaged, sensitized skin I was suffering from this spring. HOWEVER CeraVe products are silicone bombs and if you are sensitive to preservatives, alcohols, or silicone you are …Read more
