Cleansers - Jurlique - Balancing Foaming Cleanser

4.0

I have oily skin and have always used balancing products like cleansers, toners, and moisturizers, so this seemed appropriate. I’ve also loved the brand for a long time and adore their rose scented products. I waffled between giving this three or four stars and went with four because it’s a really well made, pleasant product.

It didn’t work well for my needs, though, and smells a bit …

Gels/ Soaps - Dial - Yogurt Vanilla Honey Nourishing Body Wash

5.0

Jun/16/2015

I think this is the same product I used, Dial Greek Yogurt Moisturizing Body Wash in Vanilla Honey. That's a mouthful. I really enjoyed this product because it has that slightly sour, tart yogurt smell and I just love that. The vanilla honey scent is very standard and smells very drugstore, but it is pleasant. The body wash itself is a bit gel-like and thick, which makes it seem …Read more

Liquid - L'Oreal Paris - Magic Nude Liquid Powder [DISCONTINUED]

5.0

Jun/16/2015

I actually really love this foundation. I have oily skin that can sometimes get clogged, so I tend not not buy silicone heavy foundations, but this one works well for me somehow. I like that it starts as a liquid and then turns into powder on the skin. A bit of a warning for acne prone MUAers, though, make sure to remove it really well at the end of the day because it can cause little clogged …Read more

Dry Shampoo - Oscar Blandi - Pronto Invisible Volumizing Dry Shampoo Spray

1.0

May/21/2015

Legit the WORST dry shampoo I have ever used. Comes out like nothing, doesn't even remotely soak up oil, and is EXPENSIVE. A waste of money, a waste of time, and a complete embarrassment. I tried to use all the dry shampoo tricks I know and to no avail. Tried using it at night before going to bed (I get some really good results this way with some other dry shampoos that are fussy, namely …Read more

Conditioner - Alba Botanica - Hawaiian Conditioner - So Smooth Gardenia

4.0
Created with Sketch.

Apr/19/2015

I admit I bought this for the scent - a lovely, strong tropical gardenia scent - and ended up pleased with the performance of the product itself. I have thin, oily hair, so I never use anything on a daily basis that will deep condition or weigh down my hair. This moisturized without weighing it down and left my hair lightly scented, which I enjoy for the summer. It really made me feel like I was …Read more

Toners - CLARINS - Toning Lotion with Camomile

4.0
Created with Sketch.

Mar/29/2015

I generally have pretty good luck with Clarins products and this toner is another solid item I use from them. It's not HG or anything, but it's a good alcohol free toner that doesn't leave your face sticky. It comes in a plastic bottle with a white cap and the liquid comes out of a little hole in the top. I've never had a problem with the product coming out too fast or too …Read more

Treatments (Face) - CLARINS - Lotus Face Treatment Oil

4.0
Created with Sketch.

Mar/10/2015

I really like facial oils and I am always trying this one or that one, so I picked up a few from Clarins including this Lotus one. It's not thin, but glides on nicely and smells fresh and citrusy, maybe with a little herb undertone. I have to say, I'm pretty impressed with their facial and body oils overall, and this one is quite good for my oily/combo skin. For me, I think it was best …Read more

Gels/ Soaps - Aesop - A Rose By Any Other Name body cleanser

4.0

Mar/06/2015

The price aside, this is a lovely body wash. Obviously, I bought it for the scent because that's the most special thing about this body wash. It has a wonderful, natural spicy rose fragrance that really does smell like you're bathing in a garden. That sounds so cheesy, but the thing I like about Aesop's products the most is the way they smell so incredibly fresh and natural. I get …Read more

Body Scrubs - The Body Shop - Honeymania Body Scrub

2.0
Created with Sketch.

Jan/25/2015

Useless. As soon as it gets wet, it dissolves. Unless you scrub yourself with it while you're still dry, it is completely pointless as a scrub. And even then, it's not great because it doesn't spread well. I got a small jar of it inside a gift set and I would never buy a full size. It looks like a creamy scrub and feels somewhat similar to a gritty body butter when you scoop it …Read more

Lotions/ Creams - The Body Shop - Ginger sparkle body butter

4.0
Created with Sketch.

Jan/22/2015

I agree with the below poster. The best thing about this body butter is the smell - a nice, spicy ginger. I'd say the moisturizing properties are pretty average. It feels like a heavy duty body butter, but doesn't sink in well. It took me ages to use my little tub of it, so it's a great value. It's not a bad buy if you really like the scent.
