I got the shade 61 in dark red, I think they've discontinued the original line it was from. The colour isn't what I'd call dark red, a bit too bright to be called dark. It's creamy and slides around a lot and is very patchy. It is only worth about £1 for the quality of the product, not the £3.99 I think it was supposed to be (I found it in the sale).
I got the shade Asia 077 and did a full review on the individual lipstick page. My general feelings about this lipstick are:
- the finish was frosted which you couldn't tell when swatching on your hand and ruined the product for me. It went from a nice pinky brown with a very light coat to a greyish brown frost with a proper coat or two which just turned me into a shiny corpse and …Read more
I'm really undecided about how I feel about this lipstick mainly for the fact it seems to change colour. When I initially tried on the lipstick it looked dreadful, it went from pink to greyish brown frost in a few swipes. Yet a few hours later I tried it on again and it looks much more pink with only hints of brown and grey, a nice nude shade. I'm going to to try it out few more times …Read more
This is one of the sweeter scented VS sprays and I was obsessed with it a few years ago. I still like to wear it from time to time but I don't find myself reaching for it that often as it can be a little too sweet and can sometimes feel a bit too young for me.
I'm terrible at describing smells, but this does smell really nice and is light enough for everyday. I own several of the VS sprays and tend to buy them when I find them reduced at like TJ Hughes or TK Maxx as at £7.99/8.99 I'm willing to buy them as an everyday scent instead of wearing perfume, although this will need a lot of touching up as it isn't a strong smell. I don't …Read more
I got what I think is the shade It Girl, it doesn't say anywhere clearly what it actually is. It's an unusual red shade, it's got slight hints of pink but also brown/orange at the same time. It's reasonably comfortable to wear and doesn't suffer from any feathering (cough makeup revolution). I probably won't buy again as Primark don't always keep products for …Read more
For 80p (marked down from 90p) I thought I'd give it a go and I'm really surprised at how good it is. The lipstick is satin finish and only takes one swipe to get intense pigment (only managed this with Revlon). I got the shade 07 Bordeaux which looks a slight berry shade that is somehow a MLBB shade for me. I'm definitely going to be trying out more shades from the range.
I think these are some of the better drugstore lipsticks in terms of colour, pigmentation and longevity. However they all do feather quite a lot:
- Red Carpet in Rose Gold Packaging: pink toned red, comfortable on the lips and very flattering
-Red Carpet in the Black Packaging: darker with gold glitter, noticeable up close under bright lights, same pink undertone
-Propaganda: red …Read more
This is a 2 in 1 product for lips and cheeks. I got the shade heartbreak which is pink shade, could work as a light pinky nude shade, reminds me of Nyx's Flutter Kiss, a similar cool toned pink with hints of grey. I haven't used this on my cheeks but on the lips instead. It's definitely sheer but is buildable, one swipe and you can't tell there's anything there. The …Read more
