I find this to be a very nice, shimmery, silvery grey-brown with a hint of purple. It is a cool-toned colour that brings out the blue in my eyes. It makes an excellent smoky eye. It goes on fairly sheer and may be built up to a strong colour. For me, it fills a gap between the matt grey-brown of Stila's "Rain" and the shimmery charcoal of Bobbi Brown's "Gunmetal …Read more

I am impressed by this shampoo. I have fine, wavy hair which I straighten. This shampoo, when used with the conditioner, leaves my hair silky and smooth, with neither frizz nor build-up. It is inexpensive so re-purchasing is a no-brainer.

A perfectly pleasant creamy-white eyeshadow. I don't find it to be either sheer or particularly shimmery. It is pale but since I am already pasty white, I don't find the colour to be a problem. I wear it on my lids over Bobbi Brown's white eye shadow, and then finish with a black eye liner, mascara and red lipstick.

A beautiful, spicy rose. It reminds me of Teatro Alla Scala by Krizia, which I wore in the 1980s. I felt very glamorous wearing this, and was desparate to wear it out for the evening with an LBD, sky high heels and a slash of red lipstick (just as I wore Teatro Alla Scala). Absolutely lovely.

Oh my! I do like this fragrance. This belongs to a fantasy man: a man of a certain age, rank and distinction, who has done it all and has nothing to prove. Thomas Crown wore this. It won't work on mere mortals of men, and certainly won't work on young 'uns or Peter Pan-types. I don't find this to be overpowering. To the contrary, I find that I can only smell it up close …Read more

Whoa, lock up your sons! This fragrance does not mess around. Although I loathe and detest that derogatory term for a woman of a certain age, I am forced reluctantly to admit that it was the word that jumped into my head when I wore this. Luckily, I was not wearing this with an animal print blouse. Being a (now) older woman in a male dominated profession, I would be way too self-conscious to …Read more

This is a very polite, well-behaved floral. It is pretty and will never offend. It is also quite forgettable.
