I'm not sure what to say to this, other than,"It's not sunscreen."

I'm 46, and a natural redhead. Last week one of my doctors commented on how young I Iook. I mentioned something about sunscreen, which I wear daily in the form of physical sunscreens like Physician's Formula CC Cream and their Airbrushing HD powder. (20 Spf and 30 spf.)

I just …

Foundations - Mineral Fusion - Liquid Mineral Foundation

This is probably the only foundation I've ever found that doesn't irritate my eyes at all. I'm mid-forties, with rosacea, acne and extremely pale skin. I'm also really oily. This is my everyday foundation if there is no sweating involved.

This doesn't cause breakouts (at all), and it's labeled gluten-free. W1 is an almost-too-pale match for N10 skin …

I'm a forty something PPP with rosacea and celiac, so I love Physician's Formula for their gluten-free, non-irritating makeup. This is one of the only Physicians Formula powders that is light enough for me. It's a very pretty setting powder and it doesn't break me out. That's where my love for this ends--it's mostly mica, which irritates my eyes. I wish Physicians …Read more

I'm a true N10, so I initially really didn't like this, because it's too dark. However, used like a concealer, it's great for looking presentable on no-makeup days. A little goes a long way towards covering acne, dark circles, and broken capillaries. It also works as an effective sunscreen, if you apply it more heavily. Recommended.

Powder - ULTA - Pressed Setting Powder

Jun/15/2016

This is an entirely white, fairly finely milled silica setting powder that is comparable to, but less toxic than e.l.f. HD, and probably Mac Blot. Like all silica based HD powders, it's very irritating to acne and rosacea.

This is also gorgeous. It lasts through really high heat and sweat--in that sense it performs much better than the e.l.f. HD. I tested this in and out of 100 …

Powder - ULTA - Ulta Fabulous Face Pressed Powder

This is a very pretty, long-lasting powder that does not irritate sensitive eyes. (Note, the first ingredient is talc.) It also doesn't irritate rosacea.

However, in the lightest shade, Fair to Light, it oxidizes pretty badly. This would be HG if it didn't oxidize. It's a light orange after about thirty minutes. This might work on someone who has darker skin. It's a …

Moisturizers - CeraVe - Facial Moisturizing Lotion - PM

CeraVe makes good moisturizers that don't have anything really strange about them. Their moisturizers sink in, and they don't feel like you've just coated your skin in plastic. They also don't smell bad. Finally, the company says their products are gluten-free.

This particular moisturizer was recommended for having a high niacinamide content--which is great for …

This may be the most expensive concealer I will ever own. I'm really on the fence about this: as a foundation it's a beautiful color match. I'm apparently a true N10, and no one else makes a moisturizing, long-wearing, free-of-gluten foundation. I particularly like that I can wear this near my eyes, and it's moisturizing.

This is amazing as a foundation if you have …

Eye Shadow - ULTA - Metallic Cream Eye Shadow

I'm a fortysomething, pale, neutral toned redhead with easily irritated brown eyes. This is the most beautiful, non-irritating neutral taupe-subtle-shimmer cream eyeshadow I've ever worn. It's unbelievable.

It's not so blue that it clashes with neutral toned skin, and it goes on as a wash light enough to be wearable every day. It also doesn't irritate eyes …

What I love about it:

This is a good, hypoallergenic Physician's Formula powder. It doesn't irritate eyes, and it's gentler on skin than some of their other powders--it's also very finely milled and thick enough that you can use it as a foundation and it covers even dark broken capillaries.

What I don't like: This is very light peach when it starts …
