Loooooove this product so so so much. The first time I tried it I used it underneath my foundation and noticed very little difference, then I tried it on top and omg love! The Prep + Prime highlighter pens are PERFECT for brightening the undereye area without caking, creasing or looking too white. I'm an NC30 and use bright forecast, it really brightens up my undereyes and blends in really …Read more

Lip Treatments - MAC Cosmetics - Prep + Prime Lip

Bleh. I had high hopes for this, seeing as everyone else here seems to love it... I bought it for the sole hope that it would help my lipstick last longer... But it didn't. I applied as suggested, waited a minute or two before putting my lip colour on (I use only MAC lipsticks) but nope, still faded in the same amount of time it would've without the primer. I liked the smooth feeling it …Read more

Bronzers - Bobbi Brown - Bronzing Powder

Beautiful bronzer! My first Bobbi Brown product and I am very impressed. I'm typically quite the MAC snob, but MAC bronzers weren't really doing it for me, and I heard great things about the Bobbi Brown ones so I figured I'd give them a try, so glad I did. I'm an NC30-35 and use the shade Golden Light, which gives me a very soft, natural colour. I also love that this bronzer …Read more

Eye Shadow - MAC Cosmetics - Eye Shadow - Soft Brown

I can't believe I waited so long to buy this shadow! I'm flipping in love with Soft Brown! The shade is the most beautiful, soft, light peachy brown, with a wonderful soft, silky matte finish. I LOVE using Soft Brown on all over my lid and then up into my crease area with a 217 or 224 brush. If you're an NC25 or darker, I would say that it really is the most perfect warm transition …Read more

Mascara - benefit Cosmetics - They're Real Lengthening Mascara

Dec/14/2013

I got a large sample of this from Sephora for my birthday gift, and I'm glad I didn't pay for it - especially since it costs $30!! I would say that this mascara is average at best. I like the brush, but the formula is very wet, sticky, and not as black as I would like, it also smudges and clumps... I definitely wouldn't want to wear this on a night out or for an extended period of …Read more

Misc Beauty Tools - beautyblender - the sponge

Dec/12/2013

I really do like my beauty blender, I'd heard great things about it for years but kept putting off buying it because of the cost... but I'm really glad I decided to try it. Yes, it is expensive for a sponge, but I honestly don't really consider it a sponge, it's so different than any other sponge type applicator I've ever used. It's such a soft, smooth, fluffy …Read more

Makeup Brushes - MAC Cosmetics - #242 Shader Brush

I'm really shocked by how few reviews there are on this brush, it is seriously underrated. I own about 20 MAC brushes and this is tied for my #1 favorite spot, along with the 217. It used to be the 217 and the 239, now the 242 has knocked the 239 down the list. The 242 is a synthetic, sort of paint brush shaped brush. Much longer and thinner than the 239, which is sort of dense and short …Read more

Makeup Brushes - MAC Cosmetics - 263 Small Angle Brush (synthetic)

Nov/12/2013

The MAC 263 and 266 are very similar brushes, I own and like them both, I believe the main difference between the two is that the 263 is synthetic and the 266 is natural hair. I think the 263 is a very nice, fine angled brush, keeps it's shape and doesn't fray, gives a nice, sharp line. I do however imagine that this brush could be VERY easily duped, which is why I gave it a neutral …Read more

I didn't find this colour to be very flattering at all. I found it to be a sort of strange, greyish golden brown, although the texture, pigmentation and finish were nice, like all MAC eye shadows. Ended up returning it, I didn't like how cool toned it was, I much prefer warmer shades of gold like woodwinked. I imagine it would work well for fair girls with cool undertones in their skin.

Lipstick - MAC Cosmetics - Retro Matte Lipstick - Ruby Woo

I love this lipstick! I'm not big on red lipstick but Ruby Woo has really won me over. The first red lipstick I got was MAC Russian Red, and I had a negative experience with it making me look veryyyy trashy, I know a lot of people like RR but it just wasn't for me. Anyways, after being scared of red lipstick for years I decided to give Ruby Woo a try after seeing my favorite MAC girl …Read more
