Primer/ Corrector - MAKE UP FOR EVER - Step 1 Skin Equalizer - Mattifying Primer

Yay, finally!!! Ok so this primer isn’t perfect & that’s why it doesn’t get 5 lippies -but- it actually works at keeping me matte! By the end of the day I’ll be slightly dewy but it’s not even enough to bother blotting, just looks like I’ve spritzed my face (for reference my t-zone is insanely oily so this is a big deal for me)
The not perfect bit is that it does emphasise the pores on …

Toners - Pixi - Glow Tonic

I’ve only had this a couple of days and I’m not usually one for premature reviews so I will edit if anything changes, but...
Looked at my skin this morning and I swear the blackheads on my nose are already less noticeable, haven’t noticed any ‘glow’ to my skin yet, but defo an improvement in the pores.
I am super skeptical when it comes to cult products and always air on the critical …

Primer/ Corrector - MAC Cosmetics - Prep + Prime Skin Refined Zone

Was disappointed with this as it was highly recommended, it does slightly blur my pores but does nothing to control my oil.
£19 for 15ml is not value for money if it doesn’t work and as an added con it can cause foundation to go patchy.
Looking at the reviews it seems to either work amazing or not at all so would suggest trying before buying if poss.

*Tip: Seems to have …

Cleansers - Cetaphil - Oily Skin Cleanser

Meh. Just a bog standard face wash, it does remove oil from the skin but then pretty much every face wash does that?
Did nothing to keep oil at bay long term, doesn’t unclog pores, or even make my skin feel particularly clean. Not effective for removing light makeup like it claims (what do they define as ‘light’ anyway?)
Packaging is plain and cheap looking, got mine from boots but it …

Eye Shadow - Morphe - 35K

4.0

Apr/08/2018

Morphe 35K is their ‘Koffee’ (cool toned) brown and grey palette, with a mix of matte and shimmer shadows.
This has some realy gorgeous gunmetals and taupes, as well as a good few light/ neutral transition shades.
Good pigmentation and they blend really nicely, a couple of the shimmers do produce a fair amount of fallout but using a damp brush helps.
Like all Morphe palettes the …

Eyes - Morphe - 35B

4.0

Apr/08/2018

Morphe 35B contains a full spectrum of brightly coloured eyeshadows, in a mix of matte and shimmer shades.
The packaging is, let’s be honest, crap. Cheap plastic casing with a lid that won’t stand up on its own or fold round 360, the pans are glued in (not magnetic) and there’s no mirror, BUT that means they can keep the cost low- at £23 a palette that’s about 65p per shadow!
The …

Primer/ Corrector - Urban Decay - De-Slick Oil Control Makeup Setting Spray

3.0

Apr/08/2018

Potentially an unpopular review, but I didn’t really get the hype? Got this over the All Nighter as I have a super oily t-zone but it did nothing in terms of oil control, and that in itself is what I need fixing to improve the longevity of my makeup.
It sprays on wet then dries down but there’s no particularly visible mattefying effect even when first applied.
Will get the classic All …

I’ve waited ages to do this review because I wanted to learn to love it, but for the life of me...
This is difficult to apply, you have to pat it in- and quickly or it smears and balls up. Then you have to find a way of getting your foundation on over it without that also balling up and going patchy, there doesn’t seem to be any one fool proof way of doing this, even if you do manage it …

Blush - Kevyn Aucoin - The Pure Powder Glow Blush - Dolline (Apricot)

So this blusher is suuuuuper pigmented, as someone who just wants a hint of colour rather than looking like I’ve clearly got blusher on I just dip my brush in the pan then tap it on a tissue before touching my face otherwise it would look too much.
I think this would be ideal for a much deeper skin tone than mine as it would show up nicely without being too obvious. The colour itself is …

Contour - Kevyn Aucoin - The liquid contour wand

2.0

Apr/05/2018

This liquid contour wand has a click dispersal method and a soft brush tip, think like a giant touch eclat.
It’s ok, depth of colour is good and it blends well although the medium shade might be a bit too warm (tan rather than taupe- but not bronze)
It’s £38 for 5ml which is crazy expensive and it might just be my one that’s defective but the product leaks out of the bottom where the …
