I got this for my 2c/3a medium length hair and after using it a few times, I don't plan to finish the bottle. The packaging is fine, price was good but I didn't get any curl definition with this not did it help frizz. I usually apply my curl products when my hair is sopping wet, and then squish and scrunch it in, blot with a microfiber towel and "plop" for a few minutes before …Read more

I only used this a few times before chucking it. The shade I got was a great match for my skin, didn't break me out or irritate me and didn't oxidize. The reason I didn't like it is because it looked downright cakey on my skin no matter how I applied it or blended it or how small a dot I used. I tend to opt for light coverage, and prefer a concealer that meshes with my bare skin …Read more

Powder - Burt's Bees - MATTIFYING POWDER FOUNDATION

I got this in the 2 lightest shades. The first was too light for me, the second (Vanilla) was the perfect match for my pale olive skin. It's a dry light/medium coverage powder, depending how you apply it. I found it looked good after it set with my natural oils and looked a bit chalky initially. No oxidization. The compact is a cute honeycomb shape, with a sponge applicator. I had to stop …Read more

I got this as it seems to have ingredients that won't irritate my pissy skin. I seem to breakout in bumps with almost every blush I've tried except for a few essence powder blushes. I think shimmer may clog my pores. Anyway, this is in a nail polish bottle and is a scary pepto bismol Barbie pink. I use it mostly for my cheeks as it doesn't show up well on my lips. I swipe a bit on …Read more

I got this in Galactic which is the glittery metallic gunmetal colour for my Halloween costume. I absolutely will not be using this. I'm giving it 2 lippies because the packaging is good and the colour is gorgeous.

This goes on like a thick, sticky gloss which is ok and to be expected,, but it is quite gloopy as well and I could just not make it work. I tried it alone, applying …

Tinted Moisturizer - Pixi - H2O Skin Tint

I got this in light at SDM for about 30 dollars CDN. We recently got Pixi here in Canada and I'd passed it over after seeing how many of the skin care items had fragrance and ingredients that my skin hates. A second look at the makeup has made me reconsider some of the products. I have fussy and reactive skin with multiple sensitivities to cosmetic ingredients. I would consider this to be a …Read more

If you loved the flavour of Flintstones Chewable Vitamins as a kid, you'll love this lip balm. I didn't love this balm. While it went on nice and thick and moisturizing, and this texture would be great for protecting lips in winter, the weird scratchy flavour crystals tasted like chewable vitamins. And this balm smelled like them too. I chucked it in the bin after a few wears. I'm …Read more

I usually use the CG Clump Crusher in the green tube as my daily mascara. I have average lashes, not too sparse or short, and my left eye lashes grow a bit wonky unless I curl them daily. I got this in the blackest brown, non waterproof and it's not clumpy, not super lengthening, but does thicken a bit without looking clumpy or like spider legs. It holds a curl reasonably well and is …Read more

If I were to rate this for my face alone, I'd rate it a 3. I wish it had worked, but caused some acne. I have reacted the same with other fatty alcohols in the past so I'm guessing those are my culprits with this. Otherwise the texture, moisturizing effect and everything else are amazing for the price.

The reason I'm rating this a 4 is because I really dig this as a …

I've been using this with the Niacinamide from The Ordinary. Basically the only things I dislike about it are the matte siliconey feel, and how tricky it can be to spread. The spreadability is solved by dotting it sparingly across my face in sections and quickly working it in.

I've noticed this really ramped up the effect of niacinamide. I doubt I'll ever see my …
