Masks - Queen Helene - Mint Julep Masque

5.0

Update - I didn't intend to leave this mask overnight, but in the end.. I did, dozed off. There were no residue on my pillow and blanket. Also, the sulphur is very noticeable as it dries but it doesn't bother me much.

Removal was easy. I used a washcloth and a bowl of warm water. Just rub the cloth in gentle circular motions and voila.. all clean.

Overall, I'm …

BB Cream - Ole Henriksen - Perfect Truth™ CC Crème Broad Spectrum SPF 30

5.0

May/03/2014

I've only used it once because I was impatiently waiting for my current tinted moisturiser to run out completely.

I bought this product because I've been finding a tinted moisturiser + sunscreen to replace my current one that is nearly finishing - Madison Laboratory Tinted Moisturiser with SPF30. It has been the best tinted sunscreen I've ever used because it blends …

Cleansers - HADA LABO - TAMAGOHADA Daily Foaming Wash

5.0
Created with Sketch.

Mar/22/2014

I've been a loyal fan of Hada Labo and decided to try out this cleanser after reading many positive reviews. I need something not too harsh, prevents breakouts, and maybe aid a little in reducing acne marks.

I got it in tube form as I use it with my Clarisonic Mia 2 every night. It lathers beautifully and gets very soft and foamy with the Clarisonic. After washing, my skin feels …

Treatments (Face) - Unlisted Brand - Aloe Vera Gel 100% pure gel

5.0

Mar/16/2014

I love aloe vera. I use it straight from the leaf because I find that the bottled ones contain a few chemicals that I don't fancy putting on my skin.

I keep my aloe leaf in the fridge with its end covered in aluminium foil. I cut about 2 inches and slice it into half, squeezing the gooey slime all over my face. Then I massage it into my skin for about 2 minutes. Allow to dry and …

Other - No Brand (DIY or homemade) - Baking Soda

3.0
Created with Sketch.

Mar/16/2014

I do a bi-monthly baking soda mask. Just mix baking soda with water to make it into a paste. For me it doesn't do anything much but I do like how the mask feels on the skin, hardly noticable and dries quickly. I use it to exfoliate when washing off and my skin feels soft after.

I don't notice any difference in acne or oil-control. Maybe because I don't use it very often.

Cleansers - Unlisted Brand - Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Face Wash

3.0
Created with Sketch.

Mar/16/2014

I got this cleanser to use with my Clarisonic Mia 2. Although it smells so lovely and feels refreshing, it didn't produce any significant results. Sure, it sorta keep my skin from more breakouts but only at an average level. It did nothing to help the oiliness or my acne marks either..

I now use it for my body to finish up the bottle. It will take a while because you only need a …

Hair Treatments - No Brand (DIY or homemade) - Coconut Milk Hair Mask

5.0
Created with Sketch.

Mar/16/2014

My mum had extra coconut milk and told me to wash my hair with it. I thought she was kidding but I made it into a mask. Soaked my hair and then covered it with a hairwash cap for around an hour or two.

After washing it off and shampooing + conditioning as usual, my hair smelled so yummy and it was so.... sooooo soft! The first time it was as soft as a baby's hair. It's lovely …

Skincare - Face - No Brand (DIY or homemade) - Ground Coffee Face and Body Mask

5.0
Created with Sketch.

Mar/16/2014

I occasionally do a coffee mask maybe once a month. Initially I would do it once every 3 days but I got lazy >___<

I'd mix freshly grounded coffee with a bit of honey, lemon juice, and cocoa powder. Rarely I'd add milk. Mix it well into a thick paste and put it in the fridge. I love cold masks so I usually put all my mixed masks into the fridge prior to using …

Treatments (Face) - No Brand (DIY or homemade) - Honey

5.0
Created with Sketch.

Mar/16/2014

I love honey masks. I use them once a day, afternoon if I am not working or night if I work.

After cleansing, I would apply a thin layer of cold raw honey mixed with little lemon juice on my face and let it be from 30 mins to 2 hours. My skin feels soft and smooth after washing and honey is so easy to wash off! With the aid of the lemon, it helps to keep acne off and slowly fades …

Toners - Garnier - Pure Active Purifying Toner

4.0
Created with Sketch.

Mar/16/2014

I got this toner while I was in the process of rehabilitating my skin, had minor breakouts.

Overall this toner has done good to me. It works well in drying up my acne as I really believe in salicylic acid as an acne treatment. I have sensitive skin but it did not react to this toner although it feels a little harsh - strong smell (not a problem to me), painful stinging (for the first …
