I’m trying to avoid or minimize plastic packaging, so did some research and picked up a 3-pack of this in hopes it would replace my facial cleanser. To my surprise, I opened the box and found the soap encased in a plastic pouch. I opened the pouch and was met with a strong scent, which is weird as the liquid Cetaphil doesn’t seem to have fragrance. Its third and final strike - very drying.
A few months ago, my skin went off the rails and became incredibly sensitive. The only products I could put on my face for a month or two were Cetaphil and this product. It’s a reasonable and MUCH cheaper alternative to Dr. Jart’s Cicapair Tiger Grass Cream. It’s on the lighter side - although I would have loved a more moisturizing cream, I was so happy to have this work for me when I needed it!
This was a pretty unremarkable product. It did the job adequately, but not quite enough moisturizing enough for me. After an hour or two, it was hard to tell that I’d applied anything.
UPDATE - initially loved this very thick and occlusive cream. I was using a new Retin-A formulation (compounded with niacinamide) that caused the apples of my cheeks to flake like nobody’s business. This is good, good stuff. I bought W3 and probably should have bought W4, but it blended so well and adapted to my skin so well that kept it and used up the whole bottle. It’s light-to-medium coverage, and feels very light. I’m very conscious of excess packaging, and love that it comes in a glass bottle, without a pump or exterior box. Definitely rebuying!
Well, this was a hot mess. This is definitely the clumsiest mascara I've ever used. I gave it a good 3 weeks and hated every minute of it.
The best things can say about this mascara is that it has great staying power and nice packaging. No matter what I did, it left my lashes a clumped, globby mess that no amount of post application combing and spoolie-ing could fix. This one is going in the trash.
I picked this up when I wasnt able to replace my usual Eucerin. This kept my skin moisturized, but absolutely did not live up to its mattifying claim. It's very thick, and turned my skin into a grease bomb. My nose constantly broke out, which it NEVER does. Time to go back to my beloved Eucerin Daily Protection.
This is a great product. It's made with two ingredients - very finely ground California walnut shell powder and prune fruit.
