Polishes - Orly - Velvet Rope
I bought this shade when it was released as a mini only and I will more than likely buy the full-size when I run out. Its a medium to deep purple with purple glitter. It was a little streaky with the first coat, but evened out perfectly with the second.
I picked this up at Trade Secret in the clearance bin - what a find! This is a somewhat sheer pearly pink. I admit, its not unlike other pearly pinks, but I really love these types of shades, they're appropriate for almost any occasion and gives a very clean polished look.
This is a irridescent pink with a lavender flash and a very slight hint of pink glitter (very hard to see unless under sunlight). The coverage was OK, but it was on the sheer side. With a good base & top coat, I got decent wear. I'm putting this up for swap though because I just have too many colors like this and it didn't "wow" me.
I had to add a couple drops of thinner to this, but Zoyas tend to be a little thick for my taste sometimes - not a big deal for me. I like this color more than I thought I would. Its a very deep red cream with a hint of brown and plum. Even before I added thinner, the application was pretty smooth and I got excellent coverage in two coats. I highly recommend Zoya and Racquel!
I don't normally go for blues on my tips, so I'm wearing this on my toes. The color is definitely more blue than purple, but you can still see a purple flash of color. The applicaton was smooth with good coverage. If you like the wild colors, this is for you.
This is a really smooth raspberry pink creme. By smooth, I mean application - it really applied like a dream - no streaks at all and great coverage in 2 coats. This looks great on my cool/neutral skintone. If you like pinks, check it out.
This is a great color for my cool/neutral skintone. In the bottle it looks to be a shimmery brown-tinged burgundy, but on the nail, its more of a deep plummy burgundy with loads of eye-poppinig shimmer. This is one of those shades that makes you look (or stare) at your nails all the time. The applicaton was very smooth and I got great coverage in two coats. Simply put, this is a 'must …Read more
OK, this is my second review for this polish because OPI changed the color on us. The older original version is more beige and the new version I'm reviewing now is pink. It really is the same sheerness and frost, just a pinker version. I love this one just as much as the other beige version. Both are winners for me!
