Cleansers - CLINIQUE - Liquid Facial Soap Extra Mild

First of all, I have no idea what is Clinique's marketing strategy with this product is because there is no way this is a soap. It's a straight up cream cleanser. And I would have never even reached for this if the wonderful Clinique sales assistant wouldn't have pointed me in this direction when I came for one.
Second, it check's all the boxes I have when I look for a …

Foundations - Giorgio Armani - Power Fabric Foundation

5.0

Jun/06/2017

This is the first Armani foundation I have become friends with. I own multiple and this is the only one I am truly impressed with.
First of all, this is the highest coverage Armani foundation out there. In one layer it gives a beautiful satin finish and a great even base to work with. In two layers it is able to cover up red spots, blemishes, discoloration and pigmentation that you may …

Cleansers - The Body Shop - Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter

5.0

May/28/2017

This is my go-to balm cleanser as a cheaper alternative to Clinique's Take the Day Off Balm (and a more animal-friendly alternative).
I use this as the first cleanse to remove makeup and SPF. It's really good at that taking off the most stubborn mascara, gel eyeliner and long-wearing waterproof foundation. I don't think this is meant to be more that a make-up and SPF remover …

Lotions/ Creams - Aquaphor - Healing Ointment Advanced Therapy

This is my Holy Grail product for chapped, dry, cracked, bleeeding lips, irritated skin and overall skin rehab. I have this in a jar and little tubes to carry around. I love the Advanced Therapy formula.
It is greasy and thick but that's why I love it. For my extremely dry lips I've tried everything - Vaseline, Carmex, Kiehl's, Clarins, L'Occitane - you name it. But this …

Liquid - The Body Shop - Shade Adjusting Drops in Darkening

3.0
Created with Sketch.

Sep/01/2016

There is a lot of disappointment about this product because it is widely misused. This is not a product that The Body Shop has come out with to specifically darken your foundation with. This is a product for contouring using The Body Shop Moisture Foundation (this was the foundation the sales assistant showed me blends best with this). Basically, you add a drop or two to the foundation and …Read more

Toners - CLARINS - Gentle Exfoliator Brightening Toner

4.0

Sep/01/2016

This is a great acid toner from Clarins. When it says that it is gentle, that is no joke. It is so mild I can get away with using it under my eyes and it does not irritate that area but just smoothes, brightens and gives it a glow.
This contains AHAs and BHAs (glycolic, salicylic and tartaric acid) but in small amounts. This is effective but gentle. I use this 2-3 times a week in addition to …

Toners - Garnier - Fresh Toner [DISCONTINUED]

4.0

Sep/01/2016

This is my HG budget-friendly non-alcohol toner that is simple, gentle and refreshing.
I have been on a hunt for a cheap gentle toner with no alcohol from the drugstore once I started on accutane and my skin has been very dry to the point i wanted to dunk my head in a bucket with oil and would be irritated by the most mild products. This is the only cheap toner I have found that would not …

Cleansers - The Body Shop - Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil

4.0

Aug/31/2016

This is a lovely cleansing oil. And, true to the name, it does leave your skin silky smooth. Not oily or greasy, perfect and moisturised.
This is a perfect product for multi-tasking. It's good for removing makeup (not stubborn waterproof one though), as a second cleanser and as a morning cleanser. The best thing about it is that you can completely rinse it off with water. The scrapes of …

Cleansers - Cetaphil - Gentle Skin Cleanser

5.0

Aug/31/2016

This is bang on great for very dry or dehydrated sensitive skin. It's creamy, rich, gentle, soft and just lovely. It's probably the gentlest and most moisturizing creamy drugstore cleanser I have come across that would give me the best results. But make sure you are using this correctly. Because I think a lot of people misuse it and that causes a lot of complaints and bad …Read more

Cleansers - Kiehl's - Ultra Facial Cleanser

I am on my second large tube of this and I have to say this cleanser is the only foaming cleanser that has ever made it close to HG status. Now it is a staple in my bathroom and I don't think I can go a week without it.
It is the only foaming cleanser that is so mild that it never dries my skin out. Even when I was on a high dose of accutane and my skin was extremely sensitive and dry …
