Palettes - Stila - Perfect Me Perfect Hue

4.0

Purchased for $17 at Marshalls but had seen online through Stila for $23 on clearance. Got this in Light/Medium. Stila quality is there - good pigmentation, creamy and blends easily (tap off the excess before applying darker shadows) for both the blushes and the shadows. The darkest shade is labeled for use as a liner - if applied dry w/ smudger brush, fades pretty quick, but applied wet with …Read more

Treatments (Face) - Neutrogena - Rapid Tone Repair Dark Spot Corrector

1.0

The only reason this dark spot corrector gets 1 star is the pump attached to the tube to dispense product. As for the product itself, completely useless. After daily use for a number of weeks specifically targeting 2 small areas on face, it's made zero difference - looks exactly the same as before. I have sensitive skin and although there is a fragrance to this product and it does cause …Read more

Eye Shadow - Makeup Revolution - New-trals vs. Neutrals Eyeshadow Palette

4.0

Having had some limited exposure to Makeup Revolution products (none including eyeshadow), I picked up this eyeshadow palette at Marshall's for just $4.99 cautiously preparing myself for the possibility of some under-performing shadows or shadows with a lot of fall-out or muddy pigmentation. I had seen one of the Emily Noelle palettes from MUR get absolutely raked over the coals and …Read more

Highlighters - Anastasia Beverly Hills - Amrezy Highlighter

It may look beautiful in the case with that rippled texture and the color, but this just goes on way too sparkly/glittery for me which is not what I expected from the photographs. I have other Anastasia products that I absolutely love - many which I got for a fraction of the price at Marshalls and TJ Maxx, but I paid full price at Sephora for this Amrezy highlighter which really is just a total …Read more

Lips - Physicians Formula - The Healthy Lip Velvet Liquid Lipstick

4.0

This is a good drugstore liquid lipstick that comes close to the Smashbox Always On but is just a third of the price (frequent sales make them even cheaper). Applicator is very similar to Smashbox as well. Product glides on smoothly, stays put without being super drying. I purchased in Raisin' Immunity, Vitamin Beet and Fight the Free Red-icals - all 3 fall under the bold end of the …Read more

Bronzers - Physicians Formula - Murumuru Butter Bronzer

3.0

At $16.50 this is a bit pricey for a drugstore bronzer. I know it has gotten rave reviews online, but I found it to be really just sort of average. I got the light bronzer shade for my fair skin. It applies quite lightly and feels more like a neutral blush shade than a bronzer. I know a lot of people online reviewing this product said the smell is very coconut and beachy and they loved it. I …Read more

Concealers - Maybelline New York - Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles Treatment Concealer

This one is a no for me. Fortunately, had $10 in Extra Bucks from CVS and used it and only spent about 98 cents to try this out as I've heard it compared to Tarte Shape Tape and wanted to see if it really did perform as expected.

While I do like the packaging, it does take many turns to get the product started - so many, I thought I had bought a defective one. But once started …

Lipstick - MILANI - Color Statement Lipstick - Dulce Caramelo

I really like Milani's Matte lipsticks, but wanted to give this pearl finish a try. These are about $6.50 at the drugstore, but often on sale. Dulce Caramelo is definitely more moisture laden than the mattes, so it doesn't last long at all. A good amount of transfer especially when you drink hot beverages. But still it's a lovely neutral shade that is perfect for the office or …Read more

Foundations - wet n wild - Mega Cushion Foundation SPF15

4.0

Got this product for free with CVS Extra Bucks, but if I had to pay full price, it's only $9 which is reasonable for DS foundation. This is the first cushion foundation I've tried. Packaging is a bit bulky, but I like that they include a full mirror in the lid. I have not tried to apply this product with the applicator supplied - I've used a beauty blender sponge. The shade I …Read more

Polishes - OPI - A Good Man-darin is Hard to Find

Really nice color that works with my fair neutral/cool toned skin, but can see it working just as good for darker and warmer skin tones. Vivid and bright orange with the faintest hint of red helps it avoid being extreme orange. If you want a shade that packs some punch for summer, this is worth it.
